This Man Lived With Trump 50 Years Ago…
USA POLITICS INSIDER ^

Posted on 03/08/2016 10:56:44 AM PST by UMCRevMom@aol.com

Over the weekend, a man who attended high school with conservative businessman Donald J. Trump just shared something incredible about Trump on Facebook… and he is "aghast" by how the liberal media is treating him! His name is Peter Ticktin, who is now a lawyer. Ticktin and Trump both attended the New York Military Academy. And while Ticktin doesn't get involved in politics, he felt like it was time to speak out about his former classmate.

His post on Facebook, which is going viral, explained, "If you saw a guy get publicly smeared, and you knew him well from the days you were friends and seniors together in high school, if you knew him to be a decent and honest man, would you want to say something? This is why I need to share what I know."

And he is no fan of Marco Rubio's:

I was aghast at watching last night's debate. It was a set-up. The moderators, Cruz, and Rubio were all like little alligators trying to take a bite out of Trump. Yes, Donald Trump has had some failures, but he has been exceedingly successful. None of this came out. Instead, there was a general attack. Rubio simply makes up lies. He pretends that Trump has small hands and makes fun of him for something which isn't even real. He pretends that Donald wets his pants, and makes fun of him, as though it was true, and then he calls Donald Trump a "Bully."

And, Ticktin noted that everyone in the class has nothing bad to say about Trump: "Of the 99 guys (no girls in those days) in our class, there is not one who I know who has a bad word to say about Donald Trump."

And he added:

People don't really change much from the ages of 17 and 18, and I know this guy. I know him to be a good decent guy. We lived and breathed an Honor Code in those years. It wasn't just a rule. It was our way of life. Neither Donald, nor any other cadet who graduated with us would ever lie, cheat, or steal from a fellow cadet. These values became irreversibly intertwined in the fabric of our personalities, of who we are.

And it's clear Ticktin believes Trump is the best man to clean up the mess President Barack Obama has made during two terms:

[Trump] is a decent honest guy who loves this country, and who is willing to sacrifice so much of what is left of his life, because he knows that this country needs to be fixed, and that it is going to require someone who can do the job. He just doesn't see anything around him other than political hacks, so he is willing to take this huge responsibility.

Here is the full post, which has been "Liked" more than 20,000 times in 48 hours. It's amazing to watch a former Trump classmate willing to publicly take on the biased media and explain the truth about Donald Trump:

What an incredible announcement from a man who knows Donald Trump well. Clearly, Trump is a man of great character and would make a great President.

That is a thing that gets me about all of this. Trump is a successful guy with many nice places to go and a gorgeous and gracious wife to go to them with. He could live a really nice rest of his life, but instead has decided to straighten out a huge mess very few people have the resources or ability to tackle.

I’m grateful.

If he succeeds capitalism in our country gets a boost.

These guys who are opposing him are working feverishly to institute a new dark ages. I’ll get by, but I hate to see the misery and I fear to see the end of my country, I love my country.

“So, does this mean it’s okay to bring up something trump said or did more than a year ago now or is that still taboo?”

Yeah no kidding. Didn’t trump evolve several times since then? Which evolution is true?

I can’t tell you if he’ll take up conservative social issues but here is what we got so far:

https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions

Maybe in his 2nd term if he has the nation behind him and people are sick of men going into ladies bathrooms he’ll take on the social issues.

But right now social issues are the least of our/US problems.

The old guy is going to be slammed for being stupid or gullible and the lady will be called everything but clean.

Trump should pivot to being a less abrasive campaigner. Gracious. When he calls Cruz to congratulate him, that bodes well.

IN OTHER WORDS, I THINK IT’S TIME TO SOFTEN THE RHETORIC AGAINST YOUR FELLOW REPUBLICANS AND BE THE NICE GUY YOU REALLY ARE.

Incredulity reigns. Rubio and Cruz were trying to take a bite out of TRUMP???????????

Donald Trump started the third grade acting out and these two other candidates, well really only Rubio, used his own tactics against him. All bullies cry foul when you use their same methods and land one right on their kisser. Take a look at Trump immediately after the last two debates, there was fear and bewilderment in his eyes. Not when the cameras were on him and he was being interviewed but when he was in the background and not trying to shield his emotions.

I hate Rubio but I was cheering him on with each and every jab and insult he threw at Trump

Trump hasn't been part of the eGOP "scene" in DC and those that have spent their entire lives climbing the social ladder in the eGOP are scared they won't retain their positions if Trump wins. Period. THAT is why they oppose Trump.

Not much liberal there. More nationalist than doctrinaire conservative (i.e. trade), but we NEED some of that. I’m getting tired of trade deals that meet the theoretical requirements for “free trade,” and then end up with more Americans out of work than ever and yet more goods being made by indentured servants in countries that hate our guts. Time for a President who is ACTUALLY pro-American!

I agree. That presser after Super Tuesday was a great start...keep it coming, show everyone how Presidential you are.

Quite a difference in comments from trump’s roommate to Cruz’s roommate.
_____________________________________________

quite a bit of difference in room mates also...one is a person that was in a high school military school (conservative)and the other is a crazy leftist in a liberal college...Cruz is a non compromising guy...one of Cruz’s largest contributors in a friend from college

I think you are gonna find a lot of people that don’t like Donald or the way he does business...just wait until Hillary and her fly monkeys start the process
