if the establishment has their way they want Cruz, they are doing all they can to take Cruz out to give Clinton an easier path.
You keep saying that but all the head-to-head polls tell the opposite story. But keep banging that drum if it makes you feel good.
Well, Michael Bloomberg is out, so we do not have the “Ross Perot” effect going this time. In a largely one-on-one race between whomever the Republicans eventually put up as their candidate, and Herself (who, barring a sudden reversal of the Current Regime, becoming a “law and order” supporter, faces no real prospect of indictment), there shall be no widespread “stealing of votes” by going to a third-party candidate.
There is always HUGE potential for fraud, and just about every bit of it will come because of careful manipulation of election results being tallied up without oversight or review by dispassionate observers who are in a position to call out the fraud. Oddly, the successful fraud almost always favors the Democrats, so there is probably no similar offsetting equivalent chicanery by Republicans.
Wrong.
The establishment hates Cruz almost as much as they hate and fear Trump. Trump will be the biggest embarrassment to the establishment and they think they will have better opportunities to control him.
I think the establishment is screwed either way and would gladly have Hillary win over either of them., but if we win, they want the "lesser of two perceived evils", from their standpoint.
I was thinking about the MSM, too. If the owners are as politically astute as we think, they too are not only thinking about the money, but what giving DT all the free publicity and gaining support would do to the republicans. I never did understand how his supporters could just ignore that and then not trust the conservatives we used as sources for conservative issues for decades.
