Ted Cruz: This is a campaign designed to change the electoral map."
(Excerpt) Read more at twitter.com ...
Look at the numbers, he is over 600,000 votes ahead of Ted, that says it all. That and 12-6 states won.
I want to sit next to you.
Has Cruz won some states? Golly, what a fine admission by the Trump supporters.
For weeks I read on this website that NO ONE could compete with the great NY liberal — supporter of the Clintons, Pelosi, Reid and Kerry — Donald Trump. We were told that Trump would win ALL 50 STATES. He’s great. He’s terrific. He’s amazing. Every time I see him now I think of Bill Clinton — same age, same ego, same morals.
With his naturalized Scottish mom, Trump is not as 100% NBC as I am. Careful how you draw your lines. Others can draw them, too.
Do you know how many people here on Free Republic supported Bush and would have worked for his campaign? You are like a Monday morning quarterback. Hey you can look back and say the man made mistakes, but now everyone ever associated with him is the damn devil incarnate?
Remember, Hillary will win with or without the votes of those who “cross over” to vote trump in the primary...
Nothing stops them from voting for her in November.
It’s good that you are enthusiastic about your candidate. Don’t let it blind you. If trump is the nominee the press will go after him in ways that will surprise you.
They will solidify Hillary’s supporters first, weaken the crossover votes second, destroy whatever conservative bonifides he has last, then simply stop covering him.
Donnie has a good game but it’s predicated on “huge” airtime without critical analysis. It’s working now but November is a long long way away.
You’re welcome to sit with me and other Cruz supporters any time.
I’ve made two donations to Cruz — and now I’m giving money to the Club for Growth (202-955-5500) to help them run anti-Trump ads. I’d suggest you and others call the Club for Growth and give them money to tell the Trump story — a long-time NY liberal suckering gullible Americans. I live in California and at my workplace there are six great conservatives on my floor — and ALL THEM to a man/woman detest Trump.
No, Trump is underperforming the polling repeatedly, and badly.
Iowa was a 4.7 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he lost by 3.3 (8 pt drop at the actual vote)
OKL was a 11.4 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he lost by 6.1 (17.5 pt drop)
SC was a 17.1 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he won by "only" 9.9 (7.2 pt drop)
Alaska was a 4.1 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he lost by 2.9 (7 pt drop)
KS was a 6.1 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he lost by 24.9 (31 pt drop)
Texas was a 9.0 point win for Cruz just days before the vote... and Cruz won by 17.1 (8.1 pt drop)
Virginia was a 14.5 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he won by 2.8 (11.7 pt drop)
Tennessee was a 18.0 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he won by 14.2 (3.8 pt drop)
VT was a 15.0 point win for Trump just days before the vote... and he won by 2.3 (12.7 pt drop)
Notice anything yet?
You know those weren’t all closed primaries don’t you?
Probably the exact same way you support a lying scum like trump.
What’s his position on immigration and H1’s today?
Yeah, sure. Then why is Sessions supporting Trump? Because he knows Cruz is not going to fight for immigration reform, he’s too much of a Canadian for that.
Cruz’s version of courage on the senate floor is grandstanding as usual. He’s impotent in the senate and he knows it. He doesn’t plan on staying long anyway, he has his sights on the Oval Office.
As uncomfortable as it may be, it was a booger that he ate. He devoured that booger down like it was a stray curd from his Canadian grandma’s poutine.
Look, I have been following/involved in politics all of my life. If Cruz is the nominee, there just is NO WAY that he beats the Dem nominee and turns enough Blue & Purple states RED. Like Cruz, support Cruz, but PLEASE do the math. Cruz doesn't attract crossover voters, blacks, blue collar voters, Indies, or even as many Hispanics as Trump does. He doesn't even get the Millennials that trump does.
Should Cruz win the nomination, most of Trump's non-GOP voting supporters will NOT vote for Cruz; they'll mostly just stay home.
What I have posted has NOTHING to do with emotion, whom I'm supporting; it's just simple facts.
Thanks for the good wishes re the Marathon, but I don't run, have less than no interest in running or the Marathon, and frankly, find they stupid. :-)
Yeah. You have way too much time on your hands.
Virginia was polling as a 14.5 point win for Trump just days before the vote (2/26)... and he won (on 3/1) by only 2.8 (11.7 pt drop at the last moment).
OTOH....Trump and his supporters have been trashed all over this thread. So take your own adv ice and council!
Trump's mother was a US citizen before Trump was born on US soil. Cruz was born a 'natural born' Canadian and will remain a 'natural born' Canadian for the rest of his life. Cruz at best is a naturalized US citizen... Wonder what documents he presented to get his US passport?
Some people were born to deceive, and some people were born to be deceived.
THAT IS THE LAW !
There’s no other plausible choice. Ted Cruz will utterly fail in a general election, he’ll be painted as a Canadian and a religious kook. Trump will win big states.
LOL!!! Love it ;-)
My saying that both Ted and Heidi worked in W's campaign and in his administration wasn't a slam against W; it was simply pointing out that Cruz is NOT really an "outsider".
