Cruz: Media is sitting on bombshells about Donald Trump
The Hill ^ | 3/6/2016 | Rebecca Savransky

Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) said on Sunday that the media is sitting on explosive negative information about front-runner Donald Trump with plans to run it later in the year to tear the candidate apart.

"I think an awful lot of reporters — I can't tell you how many media outlets I hear, you know, have this great exposé on Donald, on different aspects of his business dealings or his past, but they said, 'You know what? We're going to hold it to June or July,'" Cruz said on CBS's "Face The Nation" Sunday. "We're not going to run it now."

Cruz said the media has given the front-runner "hundreds of millions of dollars of free advertising." Every press conference Trump has is shown on every television station, he said, noting the media helped create this "phenomenon."

"And all of the attacks on Donald that the media is not talking about now, you'd better believe come September, October, November — if he were the nominee — every day on the nightly news would be taking Donald apart," he said.

Propaganda trick. By claiming and repeating that there are bombshell negatives, many will get the impression that there are proven negatives, they just can’t quite remember what they are.

The bombshells will turn out to be sex scandals. Guaranteed.

Actually, it will be multiple scandals and sex will seem the tamest of them all.

Echoing his buddy Mittens. Everyone should see where Cruz is when he is allied with Mittens.

Is this how he’s going to act with world leaders? ‘hey, Putin, prove you’re innocent!’ that’s going to go over like a lead balloon.

We have now gone past star chamber politics into the land of tarot card news

The MSM works with democrats because they’re dependent on democrats for stories and leaks.

They have no integrity... and they hate anyone who is not like them.

I think Trump is the only candidate in living memory that has the skills to make the media into a non-player, if not an advantage.

That is one of them, there actually a number of them. But the one that the BBC did was the one where Selena Scott did the research. She interviewed Trump over many years and NBC bought that one and are holding it until the media dump after the nomination if Trump gets it.

The Donald was not happy about Selena's report and wrote her at least a dozen letters trying to change her mind about him, well until she wrote to him and said if he didn't stop contacting her she would accuse him of stalking her.

The Brits are flummoxed as to how we would ever think of wanting that man to be president.

Yada, yada, yada. If they had something, it’d have been outted by now so Jeb! and The Turtlettes would still be in the race.

Jebbie getting the nomination was the perfect outcome from a Democratic point of view. If they truly had anything to "take out Trump", they would have done it when Trump first announced last summer and when Jebbie was still high in the polls.

Hell, Jebbie and the GOPe would also have used the nuclear option if that had it available to them. A Trump nomination is not a good outcome for them either.

Think about the fact that Trump has been tabloid fodder since Jimmy Carter was president. Like Elvis, there isn't a thing about him we don't already know.

In fairness, Trump has used plenty of hearsay against Cruz, including the birther allegations.
