Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said Sunday that there's a "much bigger upside than downside" in the Republican presidential candidacy of real estate developer Donald Trump.
"I think with the case of Trump, there’s a much bigger upside than downside," said Limbaugh while appearing on "Fox News Sunday."

Nation building wars? Exporting US industry and US jobs? Legalizing illegal immigrates. Warrantless searches. Massive increases in H1B vivas, massive increases in legal immigration are traditional conservative values? Plus Cruz is not a natural born citizen. Oh, and lets not forget the corker amendment that gave Iran 150 billion.
Limbaugh just says what he sees and does not endorse anyone until the real fight starts after the nomination. If we are addicted to the race now, I can’t imagine what will happen then. Praying for Gowdy.
Rush is smart not to alienate his listeners by revealing his nominee. There are many here who stopped listening because he was reporting what he was seeing.
The thing about bringing the party together for the fight against the communists is really the most important part of the interview.
So you think using the term “Trumpet” is vitriolic and mean? Well geez, I’m sorry snowflake but I believe that is the term that Rush uses. Besides, I thought part of Trump’s appeal was that he, and his supporters by extension, were politically incorrect.
But, I don’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings, so please provide me with the proper language to use when posting on Trump threads for my future PC reference.
Also, please accept my sincere apologies now and for all future indiscretions. And while I’m groveling, I’d like to apologize for all the mean and nasty things that I’ve ever said and done since I breeched the birth canal and my biggest apology is for being successful and quite well to do in the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave (does that sound threatening? if so, I apologize).
I feel awful. Gonna go shoot a few rounds through my Shiloh Sharps Quigley rifle and see if that will make me feel any better.
I listened to him for years, on and off. There are topics he wouldn’t/doesn’t touch. He has his limits.
Good sports analogy. The crux of the matter to me is that while Cruz is the clear conservative Trump is the clear leader.
So here we are. Do you want someone who can lead us out of the swamp, or someone who can explain how bad the swamp is?
I prefer the more accurate term, Cult.

At this point, the word “Conservative” is almost a meaningless label. Let’s hear details.... and not just words, but votes and actions.

When you simply cant say Trump supporters, and feel the need to default to “Tumpettes” or “Trupanzees” and other assorted retarded names, it really takes the point you make and completely chucks the legitimacy out the window.

I don’t know about his popularity, he likes his life, doesn’t want to rock boats, and so forth. If I’m going to listen to anyone I prefer Michael Savage.
Romney actually let it slip on the Sunday Fox Talk show. He slapped at Cruz for “not being controllable.
MAJOR screw up by Romney. Just validated everything the voters are saying about the GOPe. It is not about winning, it about staying in control. No GOPe, Voters want you to win for us, not just enjoy the perks and privileges of power and wealth.
I don't have thin skin so I don't care.
The owner of the website has some suggestion for you on how you behave going forward. Your antics do nothing to convince anyone to vote for Cruz. It merely alienate people he is going to need voting for him.

Folks, we need to keep our eye on the prize and settle down. We are going to have a great pro-America candidate whether it’s Cruz or Trump, and we’re going to crush the godless America-hating Marxist/fascist felon, Hillary Clinton, in the general election! And that’s just a fact.
And that’s the bottom line.
We are finally going to secure our borders and start helping repatriate the illegal aliens to Mexico or where ever they came from. And we’re going to tighten up and start enforcing our immigration laws, including ending sanctuary cities and possibly ending anchor babies. Both of our leading candidates agree on that.
And we’re going to repeal Obamacare, cut taxes, cut spending, cut regulations, cut the government, cut the debt, cut the global balonyism, cut the P/C crap. We’re going to cut the EPA, cut the education dept, cut a whole lot of unconstitutional stuff out of the federal government and let the states control education and other issues that the constitution reserves to them. Both of our guys agree on that.
We’re going to pay more attention to trade deals and get better deals for American industry and American workers for a change. We’re going to bring back capital, bring back manufacturing, bring back jobs! Cutting taxes, cutting government, rolling back regulations and replacing socialism with capitalism will see to a booming Reaganesque economy and that will generate prosperity and jobs. Cruz, Trump and all of us agree on all of that.
We also agree that we want pro-life, pro-family, pro-constitution, pro-America judges. Both our candidates agree with us on that.
We also want to rebuild our military and make it the most powerful force for peace and defense on the planet. We emphasize peace through strength and do not use our military for nation building or social engineering. We understand it’s for blowing the crap out of terrorists and war mongers who wish to do us harm. And both of our candidates are on board for that.
Hillary stands for the exact opposite on all of the above!!
This primary is going to be over soon and we’re all going to have to make a decision. No matter whether Cruz gets it or Trump, we must unite behind OUR candidate and the AMERICAN side and do all we possibly can to get him elected and send the unindicted felon and all around America-hating, liberty-hating traitor, Hillary Clinton to her well deserved next term—in jail.
I say we drop the vitriol against each other and against our leading candidates as of now. We’re only serving to harden the hearts of our natural allies against us and from this point forward, the hit pieces will not change minds or votes, but will possibly feed the enemy propaganda machine.
Lighten up and bring some joy back into our lives and peace on our board.

Now that is a keeper. So much an indictment of the current misinformation campaigns toward anyone not on the establishment plantations.
Cruz is a product of the lobbyists...Without the GOPe money, Cruz would have to pack up and go home...I like everything Cruz says but it just doesn't fit with the people who are backing his campaign...Can anyone explain that???

You are absolutely correct. Limbaugh gains nothing
by openly supporting a candidate in the primaries.
If he is overly critical of a candidate then just
imagine how the Democrats will use that audio if that
candidate makes it to the general election. Rush knows
that. The flip side is from day one in Sacramento Limbaugh
has always been much more anti liberal and anti Democrat
and anti MSM than pro conservative or pro GOPe. He prefers
the real conservative but will support the non Democrat in
the general election even if the candidate is GOPe.

Easy, reducing the size and scope of the federal government out of peoples lives. That’s the difference between Cruz and the rest of the candidates.
