Dilbert creator Scott Adams discusses Trump's appeal.
Umm—so what did he say?
He described a cult of personality quite well.
It was an insightful interview, as I would have expected from Adams.
That he did.
He described a cult of personality quite well.

Was he talking about the establishment?
On Fox discussing Trump’s appeal. Interesting take on Trump’s power of persuasion. Looks like there were a few treads on a similar topic in the recent past
Obama's cult was manufactured.
Very very interesting insight on why Trump leads and how he uses persuasion to control the narrative. If Scott Adams is right, then Trump is brilliant and his strategy will go down in history as one of the greatest run for the presidency.
How about a link to the video?
While I won’t tune in, I would like to see that. One of my friends on FB has been sharing Scott’s blog posts. Scott Adams managed to singlehandedly call the ‘managerial’ elite out, making every reader wonder if Scott was working in their company. Humor, wit, a strong touch of cynicism of the corporate world.
The Trump haters are like undisciplined teenagers who hate anyone who tries to impose some self-discipline upon them.
Bernie Sanders is like the parent that lets their children do what ever they want with no discipline.
“Obama’s cult was manufactured. “
He was just like the Wizard of OZ... Big talk and no substance.
He mentioned that Scotts research into hypnosis gave him insights as to what Trump does - he implants into our minds the post-sale scenario. He asked how many times we have imagined president trump in the WH, and then asked how many times we have had the same imaginative scenario for the other candidates - it seems most have imagined president trump and this is how he is using psych to gain advantages. He was lucid and this sounds more flakey than how he presented it
They should have Scott on much more.
Several weeks ago there was an excellent video link posted here of Scott Adams describing Trumps communication techniques. It was an excellent analysis of Trump.
Not necessarily good or bad on Trump, but it helped you understand his public appeal.

I think a majority of voters have lost all faith in the process. The Senate and House of Reps pass million-page bills, then they cheat on minute procedural regulations, it took one man to pass Obamacare and thus hand over all our medical records to the IRS, the process is becoming so complex that they can cheat all they want. So people are going for a strong man who’ll cut through it all.
this is dangerous. It is also inevitable.
I watched a Scott Adams interview on CBS two weeks ago....he basically laid down a trump-card at that point on the news media and suggested that they were helping by the untrusting nature of the public now.
I do agree with Adams....November will come to be a win that will be talked about for decades. Presently, I don’t see how Trump avoids getting a minimum of 55-percent on the win, and probably taking 45 states in terms of the Electoral College.
In my home state...Alabama....if you go county-by-county....Trump won every single county in the state. Cruz and ‘big-boy’ didn’t pick up a single county.
All of this puts the Republican elite in trouble for 2017, if you ask me. They can’t get out in front of Trump, and he might be willing to talk to Democrats....getting some basis back to the old standard of getting state-by-state to cooperate on things, rather than a party theme. If this occurs, he will have reset the whole mess of the past twenty years.
