Even as major Republican donors coalesced Wednesday around a last-ditch effort to halt Donald Trump's march toward the GOP presidential nomination, resignation was setting in among some onetime Trump critics.
"It is too late," Republican media strategist Alex Castellanos, who had unsuccessfully urged top GOP contributors to back an anti-Trump campaign earlier in the cycle, wrote in an email. "There is a fantasy effort to stop Trump, like a fantasy campaign to stop yesterday but it exists only as the denial stage of grief."

Kay Bailey Hutchinson defunded the Secure Fence Act with an amendment in a subsequent bill.
They will burn the party to the ground rather than let us elect a President who would enforce the laws.
They are arrogant, they are far from stupid or clueless.
They have been playing conservatives for years and years.
We have only had amnesty candidates since the last amnesty.
It was not accidental. It was quite intentional.
They still think they can prevent us from electing a President who will enforce the laws and borders. They want to deny us the ability to stop the illegal alien inundation.
The most important thing to the RNC/GOP is keeping the people pipeline operating.
The Cheap Labor Express has already paid them for an amnesty candidate.
I believe they are willing to do anything to block us from keeping the rule of law and our country.

Trump is the only chance we have of breaking the stranglehold of the Cheap Labor Express on the GOP.
You do know that Cruz is campaigning toward a brokered convention, right? No other way to see it, he knows he can’t win straight up yet vows to stay in til the end.
He wants to get to a brokered convention then tell Trump voters he’s the only anti-establishment candidate. He’s said from the beginning that if Trump imploded, he would get those votes.
But he’s wrong. If he manages to get to a brokered convention, Trump voters will never pick him.
Ted Cruz cannot win the nomination. His roll is to hamstring Trump financially and politically prior to the general election.

I don’t know what cruz is doing, but if they do this, it will end the GOP.
Four solid victories by Trump today will put some serious distance between him and the field. It will dominate several news cycles. People will come to their senses. National polls will push Trump up to 45% or more, esp with Carson dropping out. Romney/GOPe efforts to derail the Trump Train will look like too little, too late.
Get on board or get off the tracks.
