He accidentally let the truth slip. In his heart, he loves illegals. He’s talking tough to score points with people that are hurt and/or scared about what is happening to this country, but deep down he could care less about the plight of real Americans.

I admit, I was under his spell for a while because of how strong he stuck it to the media, but no more. Immigration was the only, the only, reason to ever think of supporting him this cycle, and he couldn’t even keep that lie straight long enough to get through the primary.

Funny how the NYT wants to ring that bell and warn us.....

He clarified, which is more than any of the others have bothered to do. Perhaps many have missed the irony of how, with the economy so crappy for so long, and so many out of work, businesses are having a tough time employing quality people to fill skilled positions - what's that all about?

Does anyone trying to trash Trump actually think anything through?

He is firmly where he started regarding immigration ...no other candidate comes close to Trump’s position on immigration ....

I love the projection by the Trumpettes on this guy. He is a salesman selling you what you want (to hear). Then when it isn’t what you thought you were buying...Well let the buyer beware.

Essentially, Trump says one thing, and then his advisors say something else afterwards when they realize the fallout.

So the question is - who is actually going to be setting the policy in a Trump administration? Trump himself, or whomever runs his website?

Or maybe the better question to ask is whether we'd have gotten this "clarification" at all if Trump was already the nominee, and he was now trying to win the general election?

Keep telling my left wing friends not to freak out about Trump - they're going to be pleasantly surprised at how he would actually govern.

Trump's position on H-1B's is now identical to Rubio's - both support them but want to eliminate "abuses" like what happened at Disney. Which is Cruz's position as well, in fact.

So how is Trump any better? Especially since he openly supports H-2B's as well.

Yes, Unfortunately Ted Cruz Did Support Trans-Pacific Trade Deal (TPA) – With Video…

That's gibberish, and whomever is in that conservative treehouse video lost all credibility with the title. The TPA is not a/the "Trans-Pacific Trade Deal." That would be obvious given that the acronyn doesn't even line up. TPA stands for Trade Promotion Authority, and is a generic bill that addresses how trade deals go through Congress. It is not focused on the Pacific or anything else, and is not approval of a specific trade deal. That bill has passed and been signed into law.

The TPP is the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which is pretty much what the name implies. The Preisdent signed it last montu but the Senate has not yet ratified it.

Anyone who doesn't know the difference between the TPA and TPP has no business making video to spread his ignorance.

You can lead a Trump supporter to Trump’s history & the facts, but you can’t make ‘em care.

By the time the primaries are over, we will wake up and find out that Trump has all Democrat positions.

He is ‘evolving’. Where did we hear that before?

>> no other candidate comes close to Trump’s position on immigration <<

Actually, they are all quite, quite close. The only big, yuuge difference is on the prospect of deporting eleven million illegals — plus an unknown number of their children.

Mr. Trump apparently would wave a magic wand, so that all illegals and their children would be deported immediately. The other candidates don’t go so far, because they know the job would not be so easy.

>> Then when it isn’t what you thought you were buying <<

At that point, maybe the Trumpster simply persuades himself that he really had wanted to buy Trump's new product all along? That is, the Trumpster decides that actually, he never had wanted the original Trump offering?

Try as I might, I just can't come up with any other explanation. And I wonder if maybe the psychologists have a term for the phenomenon?

>> conservative treehouse video lost all credibility with the title <<

CTH and its “Sundance” entrepreneur lost basic credibility some time ago. Many FReepers have been aware of this particular scam for quite a while now. It’s nothing really new.

Moreover, headlines that don’t match the underlying story or video are pretty much S.O.P. for the nuts who populate the Sundance tree. Worst examples of such “click bait” are few and far between.

You could see the collusion between the two cubans and Fox news. They had graphics prepared and everything!

Wake up people! We have been begging for someone to bust up the GOPe for decades and we have a guy who can and will do it, Trump.

If a candidate is “changing” his positions this much before the election, I can only imagine how much he’d change once in office. Is this guy just campaigning by the seat of his pants, clueless about conservatism and having to clarify every time his advisors get a hold of him, or is he just letting the real Trump start to show through now that he’s feeling confident about his chances to get the nomination no matter what the heck he says?

I remember another guy whose position “evolved”...on marriage, I think it was. That’s working out really well for us./s

There is a reason the GOPe has spent millions trying to defeat Trump ..they know he is serious about the border ...haven’t seen any pro-open borders money flowing to Trump, but it has flowed to Cruz ..explain that ...
