Whole Title: Robert Jeffress: No Christian Has the Right to Impose His Preference as a Litmus Test for Someone Elses Christianity
Robert Jeffress, the pastor of the 12,000 member First Baptist Church in Dallas who has endorsed Donald Trump, is pushing back against several high profile Christian leaders and pundits who have mocked the professions of faith of Trump and anyone who votes for him.
Every Christian has the right to his own opinion about a presidential candidate, but no Christian has the right to impose his preference as a litmus test for someone elses Christianity or spirituality, Jeffress tells Breitbart News in an exclusive interview.
Some Christians, including a well-known Christian author, have denounced Trump for his tone and vocabulary. However, when Im looking for a leader who is going to sit across the table from Iran or confront radical Islamic terrorists, I dont care about that leaders tone or vocabulary. I want the toughest, meanest, son-of-a-gun I can find! Jeffress adds.
From radio hosts Glenn Beck and Erick Erickson to Richard Land and the editors of the Christian Post, self-proclaimed Christian leaders are rushing to render their own Biblical judgments on Trump and his political supporters.

That right there explains a lot of Trump's support and why his supporters are so loyal. Nobody else comes even close to fitting the bill!
He & Billy Graham are awesome Pastors. I wish the RC’s would bring back the fire & brimstone! Wish we had the traditional habit wearing nuns of my youth. Just wishing.
Letter of James 4
11 Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.
12 There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?

Thank you for that post.
:)
Really, what if a self-proclaimed Christian endorses Lucifer for president, can I judge his Christianity then?
What he is saying is nonsense. We all have a line in the sand beyond which if a person crosses we judge them to be not a Christian. Where we’d draw that line is different for each of us, but we all have a line. Even he has a line.
What he is essentially saying is that “your line is wrong and my line right”.
This is no different than the moral relativism clap-trap we always hear from the left of “you can’t judge me” and they are always judging other. Which is such intellectually dishonest nonsense.
But the secular socialists think the Constitution gives them the right to impose their preferences on Christians.
It’s terrible that the guy who ran strip clubs and bragged about bedding married women feels judged. Clearly, there should be no standards, and under Trump, there will be none.
Translated: I don’t want to hear any opinions other than my own.
Hmmm. The author of my Bible is God.
"Do ye not know that the Saints shall judge the world? If the world then shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
Know ye not that we shall judge the Angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? ...I speak it to your shame. Is it so that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one, that can judge between his brethren?"
Better translation:
This is a free nation, not a theocracy.
When these clowns manage to clean up their own messes is when they should feel bold enough to go after others.
No, he is saying you don’t have the right to tell me Trump is or is not a Christian. I will be the judge.
And you’re right, the left is the most judgmental and hypocritical of them all.
Hating the hater is the same as being the hater.
And the subject of the article is clearly saying that these Trump critics are not entitled to articulate their political opinions. He is wrong.
No Biblical permission for a shepherd to do anything but guide their people into Truth. Not express or imply vote for candidate A.
Sounds great would love that too....but in reality what has Trump not changed positions on other than the wall?
I want someone who truly stands his Christian values and I will not vote pro-choice and Trump praised Planned Parenthood last week....how many innocents have they slaughtered over the years? What are Trump's solid values he will not compromise on because as of today I know only one.
I essentially agree.
Jeffress gets the difference between a worthy leader of civil government and a profession of faith in Christ. Jesus acknowledged the authorities of his day and explained that power had been granted them by “my Father”. They weren’t godly men, yet they fulfilled their divine office. Romans 13 explains this better than I can.
Yes, as a non rc, if you want respect, no legs, no overt politics. And very little hair. At least, modest hair might be relatively horizontally similar. Just an off-the-wall whim. But if you can possibly use your real names, and want to, go for it.
