I don’t believe their stupid poll for one minute. Any of the candidates running could beat Hillary Clinton.

You AND me. It would be the hours of standing that would do me in. Not a spring chicken anymore, but I am amazed at the cross slice of Americans who one sees at the rallys. Young, old, and all demographics. With Trump we would have an ALL-AMERICAN president again. Wouldn’t that be beautiful?

Polls are only believable by Trumpettes if Trump is leading. Even RCP which shows the same poor Trump performance vs Hillary and even worse against Bernie is discounted.
Gut Feel “Trumps” math. We are living in never-never land.

The Iranian hostage crisis and Carter’s inability to deal with it was a big reason why Carter’s poll numbers steadily declined and Reagan’s rose. That story led the nightly news every day for months and months.
Trump has no such circumstance to work in his favor. People who point to the 1980 poll numbers as a comparison to 2016 are totally misguided.

Keep in mind these polls really mean nothing at this point. Between now and November is several lifetimes politically.
I dismiss all these polls as right now they are meaningless.

Thats been clear for sometime now. Even Trump knows that. Thats why he said he loves the least educated, and he can shoot at his supporters in the middle of Fifth Avenue and they;d take the bullets for him. Hail, to the new Messiah.
Yeah...it's quite clear that The Donald thinks most of his supporters are pretty stupid. Not sure why anybody would vote for a candidate who takes it for granted that the person voting for them is a drooling moron.
Ah, well..I'm probably overthinking it. ;-)

PPP’s newest national Republican poll continues to find a bunched up race at the top. Scott Walker leads with 17% to 15% for Jeb Bush, 13% for Marco Rubio, 12% for Ben Carson, 11% for Mike Huckabee, 8% for Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, 5% for Carly Fiorina, and 4% for Chris Christie. Small though the lead may be, this is the fourth consecutive national survey we've done where we found Walker out in front.

Oh wait....what's that you say? This article is from 6/16/15? Right you are! But it's a good example of what a difference a little bit of time can make in the actual outcome.

I know. Many of the Trump fanboy club won’t watch Fox, read National Review, Charles Krauthammer, Thomas Sowell, George Will... The list goes on and on. So I’ve been pushing for a safe space on FR the fanboy snowflakes will do fine

"Trump has no such circumstance to work in his favor. People who point to the 1980 poll numbers as a comparison to 2016 are totally misguided." It would be "no such circumstance" if Romney or any other member of the GOPe, including Cruz, was running against Hillary, but I can think of at least a couple of events that could blow up in Hillary's face just like the Iran hostage situation. Let her worry about which of the multitude of situations she's involved with and she knows could be trouble, that Trump can use against her. He probably knows more than we do. But unlike the GOPee, he's not going to sit on his hands and let her waltz in.

Almost every other poll says the same thing, even the one he quoted to Cruz last night.
