Since March of 2010, the American people have had to suffer under the incredible economic burden of the Affordable Care ActObamacare. This legislation, passed by totally partisan votes in the House and Senate and signed into law by the most divisive and partisan President in American history, has tragically but predictably resulted in runaway costs, websites that dont work, greater rationing of care, higher premiums, less competition and fewer choices. Obamacare has raised the economic uncertainty of every single person residing in this country. As it appears Obamacare is certain to collapse of its own weight, the damage done by the Democrats and President Obama, and abetted by the Supreme Court, will be difficult to repair unless the next President and a Republican congress lead the effort to bring much-needed free market reforms to the healthcare industry.
But none of these positive reforms can be accomplished without Obamacare repeal. On day one of the Trump Administration, we will ask Congress to immediately deliver a full repeal of Obamacare.
However, it is not enough to simply repeal this terrible legislation. We will work with Congress to make sure we have a series of reforms ready for implementation that follow free market principles and that will restore economic freedom and certainty to everyone in this country. By following free market principles and working together to create sound public policy that will broaden healthcare access, make healthcare more affordable and improve the quality of the care available to all Americans.

So you say “with all due respect” and then tell me that I’m full of bullshit. Nice. I expected better from you.
And FWIW, I have been paying attention to Trump at the debates. He comes across as a used car salesman, all bombast and BS. That turns a lot of people off. I know that he didn’t get to be where he is today by being a fool, but many people can’t separate the man from the reality show character that he’s playing. And, I think, that will cost him votes.
I hope not, because pieces like this one show that there’s some real potential there, and I think that Trump would likely push to get at least some of these ideas through. But he can only do that if he wins in November.
No I did not watch Cruz, but of course he came out with a similar plan, he always follows Trump in policy.
You can’t deny that what he’s said in the past and what he says now are worlds apart.

He wrote about most of this in his book published in 2011.
If you can’t or won’t research the source for your information you will continue to be lead around by the lying media and/or lying candidates.
Ping!
And, neither can you deny that what Cruz has said in the past is different than what he says now. Yeah, you think he is this great consistent conservative. I wish I kn ew how to post that picture of Bart Simpson pointing a finger and going HAHAHAHAHAHA! He has flipped on a lot of things he has said - and I’ll leave you to do your own research on this. I doubt that you will, because like so many, you put too much trust in lying politicians.
“If you had been paying attention to what Trump has been saying for months instead of what Cruz has been saying Trump said, you would already know this.”
Perfect!
“If you had been paying attention to what Trump has been saying for months instead of what Cruz has been saying Trump said, you would already know this.”
Perfect!
If Shrillary steals that line from Reagan, here is her only possible version.
Grow the bureaucracy, there are lots of Tea Party unbelievers that need re-education and Tax returns and friends examined. The IRS still lives!!
Thanks!
It's entirely pro-American and perfectly inline with all his policies. Healthcare providers charge us x10 the amount in comparison to what they charge for the SAME medicines in other countries. Both parties are complicit with these companies to keep us trapped under their monopoly. Good trade policy protects the industries we want and are strong and loosens trade in areas that benefit us the most. The idea that Trump wants zero trade is dumb and only imagined by the "Free Trader" cultists who hate him for opposing TPP.
“The best social program is a productive job for anyone whos willing to work.”
Is it plagiarism to quote someone without attribution?
Guess where that quote is from?

Oh, please! I’ve said that! There are only so many political talking points. You’re searching.
Curious that he's silent on probably the biggest issue.
What do you suggest?
Can we leave something for the free market to determine? Why is pre-existing conditions in health care a govt responsibility?
I don't have a great solution. In fact, I think when pre-existing conditions were eliminated under the ACA the game was pretty much over.
Every Republican plan and virtually every Republican statement since then has vowed to keep that feature - because it's so popular. But once you prevent insurance companies from doing medical underwriting it isn't really insurance anymore.
I just find it interesting that Trump has punted on what I think is the biggest issue.
It is a tough issue, and I wish I had the answers...
I think these two parts of his plan would help the situation:
-
3- Allow individuals to fully deduct health insurance premium payments from their tax returns.
As we allow the free market to provide insurance coverage opportunities to companies and individuals, we must also make sure that no one slips through the cracks simply because they cannot afford insurance.
4- Allow individuals to use Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). Contributions into HSAs should be tax-free and should be allowed to accumulate.
Judging by his immigration whitepaper, he’ll say in the debate that his plan includes covering pre-existing conditions even though it doesn’t.
