For decades, the editorial page of The New York Times has served as the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party. But in a sign of the left’s panic over Donald Trump, the Times has moved beyond pushing an agenda to becoming a political hack, dirty tricks and all.
That’s the only reasonable conclusion to draw from the fishy aftermath of a Trump meeting with the edit board. The meeting happened in early January, but only on the eve of Super Tuesday did word spread about something the leading Republican candidate supposedly said in an off-the-record segment.
Buzzfeed suggested that an audiotape reveals Trump “secretly” walking back some of his most forceful immigration positions. The online news outlet reported that the recording has “reached near-mythical status at the Times” and that “some” people there believe the contents “could deal a serious blow” to Trump if they were made public.

I have one question. When the hell did the NYT ever have anything remotely resembling “ethics”? that said...how stupid would Trump have to be to give them an interview “off the record” or otherwise? Trump must have assumed that the NYT leftists were on his same leftist side. Oh my. Imagine his surprise.
The NYT never had any ethics.

Well, if I’m Trump this morning surveying his mini-landslide, coupled with Cruz’ inability to win the majority of the vote in his home state, and Boobio getting
the MN “outlier,” I’d say bring on more ‘dirty leaks.’
BTW, can’t wait for Carlos Slim, the Messican owner of the Slimes (who is actually Lebanese) to tell us all that Messico isn’t going to pay for no f—king wall!
Wait, what? Their ETHICS? They abandoned their ETHICS? How could they abandon something they haven't had since the 1960s?
For a short term gain, they were willing to compromise their ethics and values. Good luck NYT on future “off the record” meetings. I gotta wonder what’s going on behind the scenes with Trump and the paper. It can’t be pretty and I’m surprised he hasn’t been more vocal. Limbaugh speculated that he thought it would show nothing if it did come out.

I stopped reading it back in college days they were unethical then.

While I lived back East, I would wrap fish bones, or pheasant feathers in their rags and dump them in the garbage, that's what it's for, oh and to wash windows, for some reason that paper does make your windows shine, and you can see so clear what is going on around you...

Well the dems certainly baited in Cruz and Rubio with this “mystery” tape. Anyone who 1.) assumes there actually is a mysterious tape and 2.) responds in kind to a phantom... the trick is done for the NYT/clinton campaign to malign trump.
Will say, however that the NYT still has a video of obamaumao and Khalid (the terror/saud connex who paid for obamaumao’s “harvard” education/degree/rubber stamp— for their political reasons). The slimes has no problem as agitprop for our national enemies. Which is why it is such scum read by the dependency urban liberal lunatics as their bible of behaviour and hipness. Oh, and WSJ of today as well.
That beck was quoting the NYT was really surreal this AM, and also the notion that cruz and rubio need to get together.

Did they ever have ethics? I remember them tricking Linda Tripp’s step mother into revealing that Linda had had an early arrest record. Jill Abramson, I think it was. And I personally KNOW they have no ethics.
