They will be buying him off in other ways. His sons need to make their fortune still ;-) Kind of like Harry Reid taking care of his son’s land.

Cruz couldn’t even get 40% (!!!) in his home state.

Wrong- he got over 43%. Trump won a lousy counties.

The media LOVE trump. They give him free press all the time. He makes them money by getting ratings. Just wait until he gets the nomination...it will be McCain part 2.

Obama has gotten his way without needing to bend to Republicans. Why is it only the right wing needs to bend?

Yes, they will go after Trump just as they are now. The Uniparty has put out the word. If Cruz gets too close they will be even worse because he does not offer ratings.

I don’t care about that. My point is that Cruz did not get a majority of the vote in the state where he is supposedly a popular sitting Senator. W got over 80% in the Texas primary when he ran as the sitting governor. Perhaps Texans are not overwhelmingly happy with Cruz. Once we see how Trump does in NY then we can compare how each did in his home state.

That’s total Trump (316) minus Texas Trump (33), for non-Texas Trump (283).

Next Tuesday I think most are.

Florida is the biggest though and winner take all. But right now Trump is winning there. Cruz has a good shot in Missouri.

If Rubio dropped out...who knows what would happen. Polls were way wrong in Oklahoma. But Florida has a lot more polling firms and has more focus so it may not be as wrong as Oklahoma.

Rich like to get more rich. His kids need to make their own billions, so he needs to set them up with some inside deals of their own (think Harry Reid style).

Wow! I hope someone has told Tom Delay Trump is OVER 300. He said last night it wasn’t happening. Rubio was all but the winner.
*********************************************

I think he was talking Super Tuesday only. Trump started out with 87.
So, Trump got 229 last night, and Ted got 209.

Those numbers will change a little as all the counties get done counting.
However, it was not a Trump blow out. In fact, Trump under performed.

They do...they give him free coverage non-stop and they don’t pullout real negatives on him yet.

The have been non stop negative on Trump since he started to show his legitimacy in the campaign.

What do you think they'll do to Cruz?

It doesn't matter who wins the media will do what they always do.

True. And the GOP will never win again and they will lose house and senate if they do that.

I’m not sure what you mean by minus Texas?

Anyhow, Trump leads by 90 Delegates now.

Thus, he expanded his lead over the last 24 hours.

I support Trump but Cruz did better than I expected in Texas even though I expected Cruz to win. He also took Oklahoma and Alaska and forced Rubio into third place in many states. Cruz is clearly second for the moment. Can he win? No. Can he give the nomination to the GOPe compromise candidate? Absolutely.

Hostage wondered what the delegate counts would look like if you took out Texas, so that’s what I did, using the counts in the link.

I.e., the delegate counts not including Texas.

True media will attack whoever it is. But my question is how will Trump respond? In the past he tried to boycott a debate (that backfired) and he calls out the ones he think are the horrible ones. But when they all turn what will he do? Right now he’s getting a lot of free press to get his message out. Will he really spend his own money to win? Especially if the polls show he’s losing?

Trump had 82 after Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

See post #72 with the link. You can see it at the link.

Anyway, a Trump now has 316 Delegates or expanded to a 90 Delegate lead over Cruz.
