Now that we have the results from Super Tuesday a weakness is starting to show in Donald Trump's support. He seems to be mainly an East Coast Candidate.
There have now been seven states that have voted west of the Mississippi. Of these seven elections Trump has only won two (Nevada, and Arkansas) while he has lost five (Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Minnesota, and Alaska).
“weak in the west”, with the exception of Texas, is within 3-6% of the top runner and with an almost even delegate split? Add that to Trump’s sweep of the south and northeast and he is still on top
as for Minnesota. any state that elects Jesse Ventura and Al Franken deserves freak show status! Congrats to foam boy!
Let’s see...how many more delegates does Trump have:
Trump 285
Cruz 161
Rubio 87
Below is very bad...
Kasich 25
Carson 8

States won:
Trump 10
Cruz 5
Below is very bad...
Rubio 0
Kasich 0
Carson 0
“Its all those liberals who live in Minnesota along with the full support of that rag Star Tribune.”
Minnesota is the #1 stupidest state.

The only state that Rubio has won. The next for him to win
will probably be the next stupidest state, Florida which is
a very far second to Minnesota.
The trouble with grasping at straws is that even if you snag one, it isn’t strong enough to support the weight you put on it....used to be common sense to make that connection but these days so many use some of the old saws and adages w/o actually understanding them that it behooves us to think back on their originally clear meanings.......
Wow. Brilliant analysis. NOT. Don't quit your day job.
So now we are just going to ignore Nevada? Or ingorne Trumps strong 2nd place finishes everywhere but MN?
Or how about the fact YOUR candidate cannot win anywhere BUT the farm belt while Trump wins both NE and the South.
I think you need to face the fact that your candidate cannot win anywhere his choir is not strong.
Oh, please.
If Cruz hadn't won his home state, Texas, WTF was he running for?
Cruz STOMPED Trump by one delegate in Iowa.
Cruz DESTROYED Trump by two delegates in Oklahoma.
Cruz OBLITERATED Trump in Alaska by one delegate.
And finally, Cruz NUKED Trump in Minnesota by 3 delegates, while losing to the other eCuban by one delegate.
Do some of you cruzers get up and start hitting the bottle right away?
If, as Trump assumes, he can carry New York, it is over, there will be no point in the Bolshies in the West voting.
Ted’s speech last night was ungracious and offensive.
WWJD?
There was something going on in South Carolina, too.
A 50 to zip stomping that Cruz is still bleeding from.
In the states "west of the Mississippi" that you listed, excepting Texas, Cruz made up a whole 7 delegates of the 50 delegate South Carolina loss.
I could talk about the other Southern states, but that would just become embarrassing for Cruz.
As another poster put it - WISHFUL THINKING. :)
YEAH!!!
You have a GREAT point!!!
Trump came in a close second in Alaska.
And Cruz quickly changed his legal name in Virginia to Marco Rubio, and his legal name in Vermont to John Kasich, so he came in a close second to Trump in those states - EXACTLY like Alaska, only flip-flopped. LOL! :)
They moved Nevada to off the coast of New Jersey, to shore up the casino industry on the East Coast.
So, Nevada is no longer west of the Mississippi, and and dschapin is RIGHT AGAIN!!! :)
“He was never expected to win Sen. Cruzs home state and OK. But he still came in a strong second in the states he lost with a sizable haul of delegates.”
And Cruz didn’t even get half the votes. Not even half.
LOTS of them.
They did it at night, so not a lot of people noticed, except for the helicopter noises.
LOL!!
Trumps weakness in the west was pointed out months ago by pollsters. Maybe it will change but it is the single most important reason why he will choose a running mate that can help him in the region. I have no clue who that person is, but he clearly has an issue out west.
LOL!
In Iowa, Oklahoma and Alaska the Delegate count is about even. Cruz barely won them in Delegate count.
Do you really think Cruz will beat Trump in California, Oregon or Washington? LOL!
Keep dreaming. Whatever helps you sleep easier at night.
Yep and Trump is still winning.
Look at the Delegate count. LOL!
