Marco Rubio Finally Wins One, in Minnesota
Fortune ^ | March 1, 2016 | Tory Newmyer

Rubio's Minnesota finish will allow his campaign, at long last, to call him a winner. The freshman Florida senator is in dire need of a spark to help him continue making the case to party leaders, donors, and anti-Trump voters that he remains the best hope to stop the billionaire businessman from romping to the nomination.

anyone know why Rubio won Minnestoa? What’s unique about this state? More establishment types living here?

It was a caucus (not a primary) where Rubio had a good ground game. Add to that all the squishy Republicans in that state and you get a Rubio win.

Well, considering it's me stating MY OPINION, it can hardly be untrue.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, a perfect example of post-modernism and Old Milwaukee combined into a single sentence.

Not schocking when this state has elected people like Al Franken and Jesse Ventura.

I’m still trying to figure out how Kasich won.

Trump has peaked. Look for Carson & possibly Kasich to quit the race. And then Cruz and Rubio will take turns thumping the Trumpster.

Absolutely. Trump only won ten states so far. Rubio won a state the GOP is guaranteed to lose, plus he has the endorsement of almost the entire GOP big government insider establishment. How could Trump stop AmnestyBoy, with Rubio's skill at speaking off the cuff, with Rubio's skill at speaking off the cuff, with Rubio's skill at speaking off the cuff, with Rubio's skill at speaking off the cuff, with Rubio's skill at speaking off the cuff?

Note: I am hoping to see Cruz as the nominee. He's been my clear top choice for most of the race, but I don't see it happening. He's won three states, but he's not picking up any more than his share of voters from other candidates who drop out. It looks like if Kasich drops, that will help Rubio and Cruz almost equally. If Rubio drops, enough of his voters go to Trump that Cruz would not catch him. Cruz can still win, but it would take Trump changing his position on Amnesty or a major health event for Trump (age 69). How likely is either of those events?

It’s a little early in the day to be a.) whistling past the graveyard or b.) taking bong hits.

Being a ‘conservative’ is irrelevant if we don’t have a country.

Unless this illegal invasion is stopped in it’s tracks and reversed, our country is gone. The culture, our identity, AND the Constitution.

Nobody else has any intention of seriously addressing this issue.

Why do you think the globalists are so adamant on ‘stopping Donald J. Trump’? If you can’t see this by now either you’re one of them or you’ve been spending too much time in your ‘safe space’.

I can’t believe Minnesotans could be so gullible and lame

Didn’t Ross Perot win Minnesota? They also gave us Jesse Ventura.

Isn’t that special. You, Saucey, Gope and Hillary arm and arm destroying America one day at a time. I am sure Linday and McLaim will want to join that circle jerk.

Also the state that elected Jesse Ventura, Al Franken, and Muslim Keith Ellison.

That is one of the things that bothers me about Rubio; he is so popular with such people.

Of which Cruz got 11 and Trump got 10.

Not much of a victory.

I do not believe that Rubio is Presidential material. I do not think he could successfully run a chain of car dealerships.

He is making comments on the campaign trail like a 13 year old running for class president.

Maybe someone lawyer should look harder into Rubio’s birth date & the date his parents obtained their citizenship.

Parents got citizenship in 1975.

Rubio was born here in 1971.

He is an anchor baby-—NOT an NBC.

What's wrong with Republican voters in Minnesota? I could even understand a Kasich victory in a midwestern state, but Rubio??? I simply don't see why he has appeal to anyone, apart from his current designation as the official establishment candidate of choice. Perhaps Minnesota would have gone to Jeb if he were still in the race.

Crud, that means Marco will stay in the race and we will continue to listen to his mile-a-minute demagoguery.

I'm sure that the talking heads at Fox News, especially the insufferable airhead Megyn Kelly, are proclaiming Marco Rubio "THE REAL WINNER OF SUPER TUESDAY." After all, coming in third place in Iowa made him the "REAL WINNER," so why not winning one state out of a dozen?
