Trump: 'Everything is negotiable'

Donald Trump on Monday did not refute a report claiming he told The New York Times editorial board in an off-the-record meeting that his immigration views are in fact more flexible than he has made them seem throughout his presidential campaign.

"Everything is negotiable," Trump said Monday on Fox News, responding to a question about whether the report, which undermines Trump's hardline stance on immigration, was accurate.

I wish the GOPe had taken Obama on with the same ferocity they’ve attacked Donald Trump. And where was Mitt Romney when Mitch McConnell pulled a Harry Reid to make sure the TPP could not be filibustered. Where was Ben Sasse when George W. Bush bent over for Ted Kennedy and pushed Common Core on America? Oh yeah...he was WORKING for W. We have a nest of vipers in our bedroom. But TRUMP is the problem?

The weeping and wailing here will be unprecedented in about 3 years when the realization sets in that Trumpy isn’t going to do what he claims. Just my opinion.

Trump haters always leave out pertinent words and phrases and try to act as if they don't exist. They also seem to miss that he doesn't negotiate with the intent of giving anything away - he negotiates to get others to agree with him even as they realize they got the dirty end of the stick.

Was there anything at all that wasn't negotiable - not even a little itty bitty wall (although he did fess up that adding or subtracting two feet might be negotiable...)?

Funny how we \try to hold ourselves above the evil sid eand we do it by using the same false memes and outright lies that they do when they want to destroy something that threatens their freedom to destroy - doesn't it set off any alarms at all that you are working in concert with so many who need to destroy Trump because he will be an impediment to their plans to take the Nation past the point of no return? Not even a little twinge of thought on it?

The wall has already been approved, it's just that those darn backstabbers in DC don't fund it.

No, Trump says Mexico will fund it. Where are the negotiations in that?

Common Core will be quite easy to get rid of.

Not if the Democrats oppose it. What would a Trump-negotiated solution look like? Common Core Lite? Half Common Core and half not?

Just dropping the mandate on Obamacare....who could vote against that?

Trump has promised to repeal Obamacare and replace it with God knows what. I would expect every Democrat in Congress would vote against that.

He starts with the stuff almost everybody wants, then goes from there with a coalition that evolves.

There isn't a topic in Washington that "almost everyone wants." Except to remain in office.

>>than Obozo has accomplished during his entire 8 year term.

I wish people would understand just how much Obama has accomplished. We attempt to marginalize him, but the truth is that he has been wildly successful. Remember that his mission was to fundamentally transform America. He has certainly done that. It will take a long time to undo all of the destruction he has created. He has advanced Cloward-Piven to the point of inevitable economic collapse. All they need to do is kick a few props out from under us and the whole house of cards collapses. When he leaves office, he will try to kick those props out.

His work in undermining marriage, the work ethic, race relations, and the military will continue long after he’s gone and will even continue to get worse because of the things he’s put in place to perpetuate them.

Obama has done more to harm America than any other enemy we’ve ever had. That is his accomplishment.

Waste your vote on a third party candidate and help usher in Hillary, or maybe you might even vote for Hillary, or some other Democrat.

I won't be voting for anyone in the fall if Trump is the nominee. I promised myself going in that I'd vote for a Conservative or I wouldn't be voting at all. And if you consider that a vote for Hillary, well, you're just wrong.

Be sure to remind your children & grandchildren how you refused to stand up and at least try to save your country.

I will be doing that on March 15th when I go in and vote for Ted Cruz.

Go back to your GOPe planning location.

Now that you've had a good cry, go back to your Trump room.

Trump has said he’ll abolish Common Core and shift responsibility for education being a state/local issue. How could anyone vote against that and still be re-elected? FWIW, teachers unions support it, but most members don’t. And ObamaCare? Same thing...no games. Just a simple vote to drop the mandate will do. Nobody could vote against just that and still be re-elected. Obamacare will wither away.

What will the Trumpers do if what’s rumored to be on this tape is, in fact, on it?

Of course. Trump views every situation as a deal. His positions on issues are merely opening bids. Therefore if he gets elected they will all get watered down, and as a result there will be many disappointed supporters

Of course.
His supporters will find this out down the road a bit and have a fit.
They will all skitter away then.

They guy has been a master at not revealing where he stands; and has gotten away with it.
Its all about the “deal”.

And if he debts in you will be sorely disappointed - guaranteed.

Since Trump sees every situation as a deal, his positions on issues are merely opening bids. If he gets elected they will be watered down significantly if not changed completely.

“Touchback” (in the gang of eight bill). =. We’re going to send them back and the good ones can come back in.”

I have asked this question multiple times and I can’t get an answer. Trump is real good at hyping the wall, sending them back bringing them back in, what then? Will the good ones be given amnesty, citizenship, workers permits, which follows the gang of eight bill. What is his proposal?

Obozo has accomplished a lot of transformation and liberals are thrilled.

You have your own vision of what a “great America” looks like but are you sure it’s the same as Trump’s?

Can one of the Trump supporters explain to us why Trump is having back room off-the-record secret meetings with the uber-liberal NY Times?

I believe all the candidates do it trying to earn their endorsement. They have on and off the record discussions.
