US Republican Jewish Community Endorses Ted Cruz

New York — February 29, 2016 … Donald Trump is a master at marketing but he is not Presidential material.
That is the opinion of most Republican Jews from New York to Los Angeles.
Trump does have his blind support. If one goes to the Jewish Republicans or Jews 4 Trump Facebook groups and criticizes Trump, some will knee jerk and call you a Liberal, Democrat for Hillary or a member of JStreet.
Never mind the fact, that this writer served in the IDF for several years, consults the Israeli government and is a true Conservative, name calling could be worse in these groups than if I was confronting Hamas or Hezbollah.
“I am profoundly dismayed over the fact that Donald Trump feels that after so many failed attempts at a peaceful negotiated settlement with the Palestinians that extended over 49 years through multiple administrations, which have always been met with a renewed round of violence against Israelis, Trump, alone, can negotiate a peaceful settlement,” says Sarah Stern, a Jewish community leader.
“In all of his statements, he seems to suggest that there is a moral equivalency between the knife attacks, terror shootings and vehicular attacks of the Palestinians on Israelis, and the Israelis’ response to the terrorism, as though there is no distinction between the arsonist and the fire fighter.”
“Beyond that, at the RJC candidates forum in December, Trump was the sole candidate who said that he was “unsure” whether or not Jerusalem should remain the undivided, united, eternal capital of Israel.”
Stern adds: “If Trump believes that he can finally produce “peace”, I would be interested in knowing which segment of the Palestinian population he would be negotiating with. Would it be Hamas, Fatah, the P.A., ISIS, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah or the Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine?”
“I have worked with many congressional offices for many years, and there is no stronger advocate for Israel and the Jewish people than Ted.
We have worked closely on bringing justice to victims of Iranian and Palestinian terror and stopping the Iranian nuclear deal. Speaking as an individual, I cannot wait to work with President Cruz and turn our country around.”
Senator Ted Cruz announced today the names of dozens of Jewish community leaders who have endorsed him for President.
The Jewish leadership coalition that they formed features a diverse group of rabbis, business, and community leaders from around the country.
“Since the day we announced our campaign, we have been honored to see tremendous support from the Jewish community,” Cruz said.
“I have been privileged to speak at synagogue services from New York to California to Florida, to celebrate Passover Seders with my friends in Texas, and to participate in events with Elie Wiesel and Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.
My commitment to the nation of Israel and the Jewish people began long before my days as a senator or presidential candidate: it began with the experience my father had as a refugee fleeing oppression in Cuba to come to this country.
As President, I will stand unapologetically with Israel, prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, move the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, and cut off federal funding to any institution that adopts B.D.S. measures.”
Last summer, Cruz brought together Jewish, Evangelical, and Conservative groups in an attempt to stop the disastrous Iran nuclear deal.
Rabbi Zev Reichman, Rabbi in Englewood, NJ, and director at Yeshiva University said: “Ted Cruz has impressed me with his deep respect for people of faith, his dedication to protecting the US homeland, and his unflinching support for America’s greatest ally in the Middle East, the nation of Israel.
A few months ago I had the privilege of spending time with Ted. He displayed a deep regard for daily Talmud study and Jewish religious practice. His respect for the beliefs of others is inspiring. I feel confident that President Cruz will defend religious liberty and preserve our First Amendment rights.”

The Iranian nuclear deal has awarded this hideous regime billions of dollars, international legitimacy, and hundreds of billions of dollars of future economic growth.

This Jewish leadership coalition is in addition to a group of 25 Orthodox rabbis who endorsed Senator Cruz in December of 2015.

Comments on Trump’s erratic behavior and hate speech are flooding social media. The below quotes were taken from Facebook and the #NeverTrump thread on Twitter.
“General Michael Hayden stated that Donald Trump’s actions were illegal and the military would have to disobey. He’s a dangerous joke that represents a large portion of the Republican Party whose disgusted at polarization displayed by the Congress and Senate,” said Galen Lowell.

Jonathan Greenblatt, National Director of the ADL, made this comment: “It’s overdue for Donald Trump to repudiate racist endorsements, to reject their hate. The ADL is now providing information here Extremist Support of Donald Trump on some of the notable bigots inspired by Donald Trump.”
Greenblatt concludes: “Half-hearted disavowals by Trump don’t cut it. Any presidential candidate can leave no room for ambiguity: They must stand against hate.”
In December, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu rejected Donald Trump’s call for a ban on Muslims entering the U.S. and canceled a meeting with Trump.
“The state of Israel respects all religion and strictly adheres to the rights of all its citizens,” he said in a statement.
“At the same time, Israel is fighting radical Islam which is attacking Muslims, Christians and Jews alike and threatens the entire world,” Netanyahu added.
That's still better odds than we get with Hillary, who we know will be a disaster, because she already was a disaster as SECSTATE.
That said, Cruz would the best choice, but he's going to have to hit the lottery tomorrow to stay in the race.
US Jews on the other hand, voted overwhelmingly for the current resident of the White House and TWICE.
So, who has their head screwed on their shoulders? American Jews or Israeli Jews? The Israelis face death daily, the US Jews face a rye bread or pumpernickel crises everyday...

No, I think it is more of a spiritual thing. Certainly, hearts have been hardened and eyes closed for those who support a candidate that would not have been acceptable just a few short years ago.
Good for Ted if he can get an endorsement! I’m for Trump but like Ted as a second choice, most assuredly over that Amnesty Snake Rubio.
I did wonder, however that the impact of this is. In terms of ‘votes’ it means about 3 in 10 of Jews would endorse him if the article’s assertions are correct throughout. That would be about 30% of 1.7-2.2% of the overall population. Still, a number that could benefit Ted in places with large Jewish populations.

Interesting. So Netanyahu asks Donald Trump to make a television endorsement commercial for him during the last election, and then rejects Donald Trump call for a ban on Muslim immigration to the United States, and Donal Trump, when asked about it, says Bibi is still his friend. Sounds to me as if Bibi has decided not to upset the Jewish side of the GOPee, and Donald Trump has signaled he understands his situation.
YHWH’s plan of salvation has reached the 6 day, or 6000 year mark depending on who you are. Israel was kicked out of the Land two days ago (Hosea 6:2) and is being raised up on the third day, which is the seventh or Sabbath day of the salvation plan. But before the morning comes the evening, so Israel still has to go through the time of Jacob’s trouble.
As for Donald Trump, I view him as a type of Samson, whom YHWH raised up to bring down the Temple of Dagon on the Philistines. Read Judges 13-16 and then look at the characteristics Donald Trump shares with Samson: Doesn’t drink, ever; has really wild hair; is really harsh if you treat him badly or unfairly; ran around with a lot of foreign women.
Actually, I think Trump will win, but the prospect of a Trump Presidency will cause the Russians and the Iranians to preemptively attack the US as part of their attack on Israel.
In Ezekiel 38, two distinct attacks are described. Biblical scholars have always taken them both to be about Israel, but only the second description specifically mentions Israel. The first is more general, and is hard to fit with the walled cities of current Israel. But it fits the United States pretty well.

That pretty much describes a pre-Trump America. Particularly the part, “against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land.”
Then YHWH, through Ezekiel, continues:

To give you another indication of how near we are to end, we have Revelation Chapter 12:

Previous Bible commentators have taken this as a symbolic vision about Israel (Mary) giving birth to Jesus, and marking the start of the 3 1/2 year Great Tribulation.
However, since “knowledge had increased”, we can use star charting programs such as Stellarium to see that this could be a literal “great sign” in heaven.
The constellation “Virgo”, the Virgin, has always been identified with Mary the Mother of Jesus. The nine stars of Leo, the Lion (of Judah), form a “garland” above her head.
Jupiter has always been identified as the “King” star. It is striped (by His stripes we are healed) and has a large, red spot (they pierced His side).

Hmmm, I remember G.W. Bush in 2000 saying if elected he would move our embassy to Israel from Tel Aviv to Israel’s declared capital city of Jerusalem.
Not only was that all just “Israel talk”,[for eight years in a row during his presidency he kept signing those stupid presidential waivers to not do so.
In addition, he sent his anti-Israel SOS Condi Rice to pressure Israel to make foolish concessions to the Islamo fascist Fatah rum PA.
Bush was also called for Israel to give up it’s historic land of Judea and Samaria for the creation of another arab Moslem state. A policy called the “Roadmap”.
Despite his 2000 campaign “Israel talk”, G.W. Bush became the worst anti-Israel president ever up to that time. His stupid policies paved the way for Obama.
I don’t give a crap about Cruz’s “Israel talk”. As Trump said at the debate politicians are all talk and no substantive action. I’m voting Trump!

You left out GWB’s insistance on connecting Gaza with the “West Bank” during negotiations, and the 1948 lines. Though I think GWB was pro Israel in his beliefs, he’s a perfect example of adopting a “neutral” position. Never made an effort to halt palestinian incitement, the largest long term problem. IMO it’s tough to be neutral when one party advocates genocide against the other.
Regardless, I voted for Ted Cruz. I have also sat in on some Republican Jewish meetings.

We’re 223 years away from the 6000th year on the Hebrew calendar. I don’t think the 7 years and time of Jacob’s Trouble will happen until around then. The 6000th year is also seen to be the “birthday’ of man. Perfect time for the revealing of the ultimate bad man 666 and then the return of Christ. Millennial reign of Christ 1000 years to the 7th (7000th year) the year of perfection with God creating a new heaven and new earth.

This is all very easy to figure out. Some Jewish people in Israel must not realize -that if Trump loses to Hillary in the general, she'll run roughshod over Israel and leave them under the bus where anti-semite islamic muslim filthbag obama threw them.
