Winning elections helps. Donald Trump has become an even more formidable frontrunner among Republican primary voters in the latest Economist/YouGov Poll, conducted in the weekend following his convincing wins in South Carolina and Nevada. Three in four of those voters now expect that Trump will be their partys nominee this July, an increase of 23 points in the last two weeks.
Trump is the only remaining Republican candidate that a majority of the public believes could win the general election. 63% of all Americans believe he could win in November, including 84% of Republican voters. Fewer Republican primary voters, though still majorities, see Florida Senator Marco Rubio and Texas Senator Ted Cruz as conceivable general election winners. But under half the public overall agrees.
Cruz has also been accused of lying especially by Donald Trump. That criticism also has taken a toll. Less than half of GOP voters now say Cruz is honest and trustworthy, down nine points in the last two weeks. The percentage who describe Cruz as not honest and trustworthy has jumped eleven points in the same period.

Trump Poll Ping
Trump train is leaving the station, get on board or get the Greyhound with Hillary.
Oh that can’t be true. Rovio told me 34% was trumps ceiling
The good news always gets better.
Rove said Trump’s ceiling was 20%.
So, when Cruz gets out of the race and throws his support and his delegates to Rubio, does that mean that Cruz voters essentially voted for Rubio?
If not, why not?
But Cruz told me he had the mafia beat up an old lady and throw her out the window on to some veterans.
Rubio, still in third, still being pimped as the choice by the K St mob
Thanks for the ping.

And the Goebbels-style attack on the integrity of the most conservative candidate, who stood up to the GOPe, should give pause to true conservatives.

Anyone in the mood for some common core math?
According to some folks on TV:
21 + 17 > 44.
Ok. No problem.
before that Trump’s ceiling was 25. Rove, the originator of the “high floor, low ceiling” theory.
After today’s Sessions endorsement, the usual loudmouth Cruzers on my Facebook groups have been very quiet. Some expressed concern and admitted this could be the killshot to Cruz’s campaign.
I will be sleeping with a smile tonight.
1 in 4 Republican voters are now stuck on...
Well, never mind.
The silence is kinda nice.
What I like are those FReepers who have asserted, with righteous indignation, the stupidity of supporting Trump because he has no chance in the general!
"His negatives are through the roof!"
(Nevermind his negatives are statistically the same as Hillary's)
Trump was brutal on Rubio today. Brought up the H-1 Disney workers on stage and really went off on ‘Little Marco’ Rubio. Barely a mention of Ted. A couple references to Lying Ted Cruz, but mostly he took an anvil to Rubio.
