The New York Times has just laid virtually all of talk radios top conservative punditry naked to their enemies by revealing a coordinated effort, between them and top DC politicians, to tamp-down opposition to comprehensive immigration reform, and gaslight the national republican audience. A brutal expose
We already knew the aspect of Fox News via Rupert Murdoch, Roger Ailes, Sean Hannity and Bill OReilly meeting with Chuck Schumer, Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio capturing promises to deliver favorable opinion for immigration reform. Outlined HERE We also knew, and wrote about how Fox Executives manipulated program content (including the blacklisting of amnesty critics) to support the collective agenda.
However, we did not know how far the scope of the influence was extended, nor did we know Rush Limbaugh was a direct participant. We also did not know that Laura Ingraham and Mark Levin were lobbied to participate.
How would we know? How would anyone know? They never told their audience.
None of the aforementioned pundits ever disclosed the nature or content of the lobbying, nor their own independent determination whether to go along with the agenda, or remain willfully blind thereby benefitting the legislative agenda by omission.
In hindsight we can only accept silence as willful blindness.
However, now we do know, many things make a lot more sense about how reactionary all the conservative pundits were, notably the Fox Group, when candidate Donald Trump announced his immigration platform to include a border wall, deportation and strict enforcement of immigration law. Now we know why most pundits reacted with such disdain.

Perhaps you should listen to what Rush says more carefully, or keep your yap shit.
Here’s the transcript from Rush’s program 2/2/2016:

I know that Rubios got the baggage of that Gang of Eight bill and I know that in many peoples minds hes got the baggage of wanting to grant the current number of illegals citizenship. I understand that. But Marco Rubio is no moderate Republican centrist. I could sit here like anybody else could and try to make explanations for you for why he did the Gang of Eight. Im not even gonna try to put words into his mouth. I dont want to be seen as making excuses. Im just telling you, I dont see Marco Rubio as anything other than a legitimate, full-throated conservative. Nobodys pure, and nobody is ever free of making mistakes...

Please explain to us why Rush called a guy who joined the likes of Schumer and Durbin to bring us unfettered amnesty to America a “full-throated conservative?
Inquiring minds want to know A$$hole!
Opposing the Go8 while supporting one of its principle architects is a disconnect. It’s like saying, I oppose An Inconvenient Truth, but I support Al Gore,
Perhaps you should listen to what Rush says more carefully, or keep your yap shit.

The word should’ve been “shut.”
Exactly.
“Opposing the Go8 while supporting one of its principle architects is a disconnect. Its like saying, I oppose An Inconvenient Truth, but I support Al Gore,”
I dont know why Rush want Rubio competitive. Perhaps Rush was trying to get people not to write him off since he is one of the 3 remaining viable candidates. He doesnt seem as supportive of Cruz as he used to be. Maybe he heard a rumor of a skeleton in his closet that may come to light. Its all guesswork but not enough to crucify Rush like some want to do.
>> Why did Rush call Rubio a full throated conservative? <<
The only relevant point is that Rush clearly, forcefully, unambiguously, strenuously and repeatedly condemned the Gang of 8 bill. I don’t listen to Rush (wrong time of day), except when he covers immigration (obligation), but Levin has made very clear that he considers that Rubio deeply and personally betrayed him and conservatism by joining the Gang of 8.
The question then must be asked of you again: Why did Rush call Rubio a full-throated conservative when Rubio was an integral part of the Gang of Eight?
On another issue you state: I dont listen to Rush (wrong time of day), except when he covers immigration ... .
If you don't listen to Rush because it is the wrong time of day for you, how could you possibly know when he is speaking about immigration?
“Ive been a broken record, but this explains why Rush has essentially given Rubio a complete pass on his being a member of the Gang of Eight, and calling him a Full-Throated Conservative.
Ive been sitting back listening to his show the past several weeks feeling like Im in the Twilight Zone, with Rush whitewashing Rubios joining Schumer, Durbin and McCain in the Gang of Eight which wouldve destroyed our nation.
I wonder how Rush is going to try and spin this?”
Follow the $$...Cruz and Rubio buy ads on Rush, Levin. Trump doesn’t. But that’s a small part of it.
Sadly, they have sold out.

Thanks!
>> I dont listen to Rush (wrong time of day), except when he covers immigration ... .<<
Recordings. Duh.
>> The question then must be asked of you again: Why did Rush call Rubio a full-throated conservative when Rubio was an integral part of the Gang of Eight? <<
I don’t know the context. When Rubio was first running for the Senate? Rubio did RUN as a full-throated conservative and Levin admits he was conned by Rubio. More recently? In spite of his treachery on an issue which is essential for conservatives but not traditionally a conservative issue, he has been very conservative on other issues. Is that what Rush meant? If so, he certainly did not mean it as an endorsement for higher office, because no-one could ever listen to him and imagine he endorses Rubio.
Recordings. Duh.
Try reading your initial sentence again. It makes no sense. And it makes even less sense if you are listening to recordings of the show after the fact.
Do you ignore all of what Rush says except when he speaks about immigration? That is what your initial sentence says.
Whatever. It appears you missed Rush's "full-throated" support of the "full-throated" conservative Rubio adding that Rubio is in the mold of Reagan and his association with the Gang of Eight was a "minor gaffe"
In the mean time, get a grip!
“Follow the $$...Cruz and Rubio buy ads on Rush, Levin. Trump doesnt. But thats a small part of it.

Re-posted for the hard-of-thinking.
>> Do you ignore all of what Rush says except when he speaks about immigration? <<
Yes! I listen to Ingraham and Levin in the car. I’m at work when Rush is on. But for reasons I choose to keep private, I listen to recordings of Rush whenever he discusses immigration.
FUND raisers for Cruz https://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/partytime.php?cid=N00033085
The NRSC (which Cruz helped operate) is who is scamming campaign contributions from Trump supporters...and Ted is profiting from it.
Debt Retirement Reception@ National Republican Senatorial Committee (Gotta help pay off Goldman Sachs loans!) Beneficiaries: Ted Cruz Contribution: $2,000; $1,000 (suggested contributions at event)
More on the scams against Trump by NRSC, NRCC & the RNC..NONE of which Rush, Levin or Hannity will touch! WHY???
