Clutching pearls - will the Republic survive ?
This will surely turn the tide.
What’s a Robert Kagan? Assistant Men’s room towel boy at the Washington Post?
Go home, Kagan and your fellow neoconservatives. Take your Iraq and Afghan wars with you, your plans for intervention in Syria, your attempts to get us involved in a fight with Russia. You were never Republicans to begin with; instead, you were a collection of war-mongers, almost none of whom had seen a day of military service, found it convenient to lie GW Bush into utterly unnecessary Mideast wars that killed thousands of our best men and women, indebted us for generations in the trillions, ruined two nation states, and utterly displaced the Christian, Yazdi and Druze populations of Iraq and Syria. Good riddance; you deserve Hillary Clinton and she deserves the lot of you!
Neocons were never conservative
And we’re supposed to pretend he wasn’t a Demonorat all along?
I’m not a bit surprised that a 50 IQ bolshevik ape, Robert Kagan, supports Hillary.
As I predicted months ago, many of the "neo-conservatives" who steered this country's foreign and military policy during the two Bush administrations are going to be firmly in Hillary Clinton's corner in this election.
Very well said.
I have never heard of him, but it is obvious that he was.
He’s the son of Donald Kagan, a well-known ancient historian (primarily Greek history) who taught for many years at Yale.
Kagan and the other “neoconservatives” (such as Bolton, Perle) thrived on phony “threats” to push GW Bush into these utterly unnecessary wars; I remember Bush spouting some ignorant nonsense about how Saddam Hussein’s non-existent WMDs could “hit San Francisco”. And they probably rightly believe that Hillary Clinton is beholden enough to the Wall Street interests that back these overseas adventures in conjunction with the bobble-head “neoconservative experts” that they can get a job in her “administration”. Totally heedless of her and her fraudster husband’s criminality and deviancy, they never were Republicans to begin with; and their trash philosophy has almost destroyed the party along with the lives of far too many of our best young men and women. Go home, Mr. Kagan.
Is this real "inside baseball" stuff? Or is he related to Supreme Court Justice Kagan or something?
(Scuttles off surreptitiously to check Wikipedia).
Oh-ho! He's affixed to Victoria Nuland, and is at Harvard.
BFD.
Another Ivy League wanker.
If Kagan has a comic book version of his policy stance, I am sure Marco would read it and say, "me too."
Saying how he really has a true progressive strain deep inside is showing how he wants to sit at the big table with the other kids that get quoted on the telly. My goodness, what happened to integrity? Was it too far away to get the choppers to rotate for it like Hillary's policy on ambassadors in Libya?
The DemocRAT moles are crawling out of their holes.
There is no crisis this duo would not like, and perhaps Mr. Kagan realizes that Trump will be bad for the business of seeding stupid wars.
You said it very well; sounds like you are not an establishment booster.
Pat Buchanan was saying that c. 1992, and William Frank Buckley, Jr., was unimpressed.
1. Fred Kagan's wife is Kimberly Kagan, who also worked in Bush administration. She operates the Institute for the Study of War. Her employee was Elizabeth O'Bagy, who escorted John McCain to Syria, to introduce McCain to the "good rebels" in Syria, that the US would eventually arm with tow missiles.
The Rise and Fall of Elizabeth O'Bagy
2. The above article mentions Fred Kagan's brother, Robert Kagan. Robert Kagan's wife is Victoria Nuland, who also worked in the Bush Administration, working for Dick Cheney.
Nuland would go to work in Obama's State Dept in 2011 and would become known as one of those involved in "crafting the Benghazi talking points memo" that Susan Rice used.
