The Washington Post made an effort to be fair?

Our founders would consider anyone that voted for Kagan or the Wise Latina to be guilty of treason, as for you Joey B I think Jefferson and Adams would put their differences aside, pick you up, and throw you out a window.

Why is a journalist “a Democrat with a byline?” It is IMHO actually quite understandable. In contrast to T. Roosevelt’s “Man in the Arena” speech - which says, “It is not the critic who counts,” journalists are critics.

The extreme statement of the perspective that only the critic counts comes right out of the Democrat (socialist) playbook: “You didn’t build that!” Naturally journalists and Democrats are simpatico.

The other consideration about journalists is the fact that they all project the same political perspective because, as Adam Smith put it,

People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public
. . . and journalists “meet together,” virtually, on an ongoing and continuous basis via the medium of the Associated Press. And other wire services as well. Any potential hint of ideological diversity among journalists is systematically suppressed.

Journalists actually think of themselves as being objective, which is a telltale indication that they are not anything close to actual objectivity. They aren’t even trying to be objective, if they actually think they already are objective.

Between catching Trump’s touchback amnesty as the resurrection of Kay Bailey Hutchison’s 2007 immigration bill (rejected at the time as equivalent to an amnesty) and this, I’m really starting to like Marc Thiessen.
