Former state senator Dr. Kelli Ward, who hopes to unseat fellow Republican U.S. Senator John McCain, spoke to members of the Payson Tea Party this week.

Former state senator Dr. Kelli Ward brought her insurgent crusade to unseat fellow Republican U.S. Senator John McCain to Payson this week, with a wide-ranging attack on McCain. She spent hours of patiently answering questions posed by members of the Payson Tea Party.
Ward blasted Sen. McCain as a career politician with no new ideas, dedicated to his own power and privilege, unwilling to protect the border and out of touch with the will of the people.
...
If she manages to defeat the well-funded McCain in the Republican primary, she will face Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick, who is leaving her Flagstaff-based First Congressional District seat to make the run for U.S. Senate.
...
Sen. Ward, who announced months ago, is Tea Party friendly candidate on the issues gaining support every day -- pushing McCain in the polls. Until now Kirkpatrick, a liberal republican, has shown no interest publicly in higher office but her late-entry may will split the vote in the primary against McCain.
Kirkpatrick, who was my Az Rep before re-districting, once called a town hall meeting but when she arrived she saw a lot of voters, some holding signs, who were upset with her so she never even got our of her car and drove off. She has hung up on my wife in the middle of a polite discussion about Obamacare that she was pushing. It goes on.

The GOPe/McCain campaign has thrown a ringer in the Senate re-election race in Arizona. What's McCain promised her.

Thanks - this post made my day. I cannot wait for McCain to get voted out of office - if he has the hubris to run again. And I’m not the least bit worried about Kirkpatrick (especially in this anti-establishment election climate).

That old fool has had too many years lounging around the Senate.
Go Kelli.

Big error in this article. Ann Fitzpatrick is a Democrat Congresswoman. She’s not running in the GOP primary.

To: grayeagle
I guess I need to contribute to her!!!

Kirkpatrick is a Democrat. She can’t split the primary vote.
I was out walking this morning gathering signatures for Kelli to get on the ballot.
People are excited about her. She is enthusiastic smart, and has great plans to advance conservvatism.

I hate to break the news to her, but McCain was A POW. She is supposed to bend over and KISS HIS TOES...just as Trump was expected to do.
Hopefully she apologizes for her UNPATRIOTIC behavior.

Come Tuesday, the presidential candidate will likely be settled. This is where we need to concentrate our efforts,in down ticket races, and in races that we may not be able to pick up in other years. This will be a wave election with the enthusiasm on our side. The GOPe just lost 100 million dollars, they can’t defend rinos as much this year.

There are several other GOP candidates listed on Politics1.com but I don’t see any mention of this “ringer” in the article besides the headline.

This article was a mistake. They thought the Democrat candidate was running in the GOP primary. If she was, it would be McQueeg in danger splitting the leftist establishment vote.

    Bizarre and epic journalism fail.
I do worry about those minor candidates splitting the vote though.

Oops, sorry about that. I misread the article.

To: Impy
If they truly want to retire McCain they will withdraw from the race. Apparently, their egos take precedence over the good of Arizona and our country.

To: grayeagle
If you have a twitter account, you may want to see if you can pass some of that info along to Dr Ward. She would not use that kind of info in a campaign but she may be interested in hearing it.
