Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey endorsed Donald J. Trump on Friday, a major turn in a wild race and one that gives the New York businessman a major boost as he heads into the pivotal Super Tuesday contests.
Mr. Christie was a candidate himself until he came in sixth place in New Hampshireâs primary. But his backing of Mr. Trump comes after weeks of him saying that it was time for the âentertainmentâ portion of the race to end, and as he had said that the type of executive leadership that a governor has is important.

“my clown”?
I am just stating facts.
Cruz would still be my first choice. Unfortunately I have yet to discern how he can accumulate 270 electoral votes.
And Beck certainly hasn’t helped him.
Rubio did look good but his ambition got the better of him. He would still be better than HRC.
Trump SHOULD overwhelm her in a debate.
Hillary won’t be able to conceal her arrogance in a debate with Trump.
Reince Priebus must be crapping his pants right now.
AS a businessman..
Hey; It can be said that YOU contribute to all the dems. You pay taxes ....
Donating to both sides is an unfortunate cost of doing business today.
#434- That’s hilarious
Strange hew wouldn’t get Manhattan (in this primary) considering his presence with Trump Towers being there. You think there would be more support for Rubio or Cruz in Manhattan?
He has NO chance of winning NY, none. No more than Romney had of winning MA. Republicans get under 40% for President there, it’s one of the worst states.
DJ, would you disagree?
I think both would be bad choices.
I will clue you in. If you really really want to succeed in life in a big way, always look at the big picture, and do not get entangled in details. You can hire an army of bureaucrats to handle the details, to follow your vision. Trump has tens of thousand people working for him. He would be foolish to know every detail of every worker and what they are doing.
Last year I viewed Trump chairing an hour long meeting with 100 managers of his worldwide resorts. Watching that meeting opened my eyes how a successful CEO operates. It was masterful. What Trump was doing was to make every single manager present, feel important, and boosting their morale, and setting guidelines on goals to be accomplished.
I was on a corporate executive committee in a privately held corporation doing $500 million yearly business. But I have never witnessed CEO skills I saw in Trump.
Come on Chris Christie was never that big. That’s got to be photoshop. There’s no way his waite was that large. If it was he’d have to buy a kidding pool to fit around his waist and then get fabric to cover it.
Endorsements from party moderates, now a good thing. This is even more awesome than Scott Brown.
Trump endorsement, we’ll find a reason it’s awesome. Cruz endorsement, we’ll find a reason to tear it down and dismiss it or use it to impeach Ted (Glenn Beck, Beck is nuts so Cruz is therefore disqualified). It’ll be really fun if some dem scumbags endorse Don. Jim Webb? We’d hear from all the freepers that think that scum is a “conservative democrat”, they’d suggest him for VP too.
I can tell you this, fat boy would never endorse Cruz in the primary. If it was down to the 2 of them the “establishment” that he’s supposed to burn down for us would undoubtedly choose Trump. Hmm.
Trump is really a man for all seasons, the RINO who conservatives love because he says exaggerated versions of stuff they want to hear. What a wonderful era of politics this is. He’s doing for politics what Johnny Cochran did for the law.
Big picture? You totally missed it.
You, like so many - measure success based on the material possession, properties and wealth a person possesses. You measure success in life on the values and things of this world.
I don’t.
Ask the 94 million UNEMPLOYED what they wish the most as their first priority.
Trump has access to the world’s best cannolis, an unlimited supply. No brainier for Chris, really.
He would overwhelm her in the debates but not on substance and certainly not on topics like health care, progressive taxes, Affirmative Action and cronyism where they both agree.
That was McCain.
I'm not the one backing the candidate who supports Universal health care, progressive taxes and was formerly all in on abortion.
That was Romney.
1+1 = Trump.
Your definition of insanity is confirmed.
Great summation of Johnald “Mitt” McTrumpNey.
Establishment getting behind Trump now that he has promised them good deals.

Yuuge, brings NY and NJ in play . . like sibs, which will bring their cousins in the NE corridor into play. . a huge move. . Give them Vermont, Rhode Island and Delaware. . we’ll take the rest.
Still predicting a map that looks something like this:

Christie is the first honcho from the GOP to defect to Trump. He was Chair of republican governors association. That explains why the desperate elites sent Romney to attack Trump.
