It’s not often a pair of shoes makes headlines.
But the rouge red Mizuno Wave Rider 16 running shoes that state Sen. Wendy Davis wore during an 11-hour filibuster over abortion rights in 2013 dominated news cycles for days.
Davis says she’ll never sell the actual pair she wore that day. But an identical pair of those shoes — in a box Davis autographed — is up for sale.
The shoes are among the items in a moving sale Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 2737 Calder Court, that offers a chance to buy outfits, accessories, shoes, furniture and more that belonged to Davis.
The former Democratic gubernatorial candidate is paring down her belongings since her recent move to Austin.
“I’ll miss Fort Worth so much, but it’s time for the next chapter,†said Davis, a former Fort Worth city councilwoman long known for stylish outfits and high heels.

As as far as Tx Governor races go, she was, in fact, the Biggest Loser. Guess that's famous.

She claims to have aborted 2 babies herself. But the part that got me was her dumping her second husband as soon as he paid off her education and left him with her 2 kids from her first marriage. As they say, some beauty is only skin deep. In her case it’s not just ugly under the skin it’s evil.
Given Dem values, couldn’t she raise more money doing those spam “I made $87 an hour on Google” comments online?
It’s sick and awful that some people believe her shoes worn in support of murder are something to praise. My God.
When I read the headline I thought some retailer was marketing a “Wendy Davis” line of clothing.

They’re not even the actual pair Davis wore...just a pretend pair.

She was eager to sell her soul but her running shoes? Never!
10 years too old, too much meat on her arms. Remember, she was the one who cozened her husband for paying for her law degree, and immediately divorced him, wasn’t she?
