RNC sees leverage over Trump

Donald Trump has steamrolled toward the Republican nomination by lambasting all things political establishment, and now that establishment thinks it can convince their insult-wielding front-runner he needs them.

Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus has begun stating in private meetings that the party has sway over its at times unwelcome front-runner because it has tools Trump will need to use to win a general election -- voter data and field, digital and media operations that a nominee typically inherits from the party infrastructure.

Dangling access to these resources, Priebus thinks he can help steer Trump toward partywide policy goals and away from the inflammatory rhetoric that Republican officials see as divisive and dangerous, especially outside of the primary, according to two Republican sources who have spoken with the RNC chairman. ...

Lets say Reindeer Penis trys to get an open convention under the rule that any candidate has to have amassed 6 wins over 50% of the vote. And lets guess that Trump will have close to the number of votes he needs.

Reindeer Penis thinks he has all the cards, except Trump will have won most of the states. The fact that he didn’t have over 50% in enough state is because there were 17 candidates and even now there are 5 left.

Romney didn’t have to have 8 states in majority or he never would have been the Nominee. These are the Bush rules, they though Bush’s money would get him elected. The 8 state majority was for a brokered convention.

Actually Trump holds all the cards.

1. Trump doesn’t need the GOP machine, the people are so pissed off at the failed Rinos of the GOPe they will side with Trump. Cruz, Carson and Trump people owe no allegiance for the GOPe, and have no love for them

2. Trump and Cruz were ambushed at debates by hostile MSM liberal commentators the RNC accepted. The booing of Trump has been roundly seen as violation of the RNC pledge to have a level playing field.

3 The RNC has had many leaks of meetings on a brokered convention, even before the IOWA caucus. Violating the Pledge.

4 Trump has his supporters, and as more people leave the race Trump picks up more supporters. Many of these people will vote for Trump at a convention. Trump can also make deals with people in the race for them to give Trump their delegates.

5 Trump doesn’t need the GOPe organization. He doesn’t need their money. He is organizing in every state. Local politicians are going to flock to Trump after he wins another 8 to 10 states.

6 Trump will have the base behind him and Trump will actually be able to force the GOPe people out like Reindeer Penis since the RNC will have no money or support. You never take on the King. Trump will give financial supporters of the GOPe retribution when he becomes president, Will they risk that? I don’t think so

Reindeer Penis’s wife has a long chin, not bad looking by no high fashion Paris and Milan model like Melania, and not a Sports Illustrated cover swimsuit model.

I have thought for some time that if Trump receives the Republican nomination, the RNC will publicly support him, but furtively work against him. His securing the nomination will spawn at least two independent non-party candidates - Bloomberg and one former Republican candidate.

I also believe that Hillary will not be the Democrat nominee. She has legal and health issues yet to be exposed. When she steps aside, the Democrats will rally around John Kerry. He has never given up the dream to be President.

We have a donnybrook of an election coming up. Perhaps no one gets required electoral votes, and the next President is selected by the House. Watch out for Jeb!

because it has tools Trump will need to use to win a general election -- voter data and field, digital and media operations...

...including a warehouse full of pocket turtles and guacamole bowls.

Trump is winning this on his terms. He doesn't need the RNC. In fact, they would likely be a burden.

If I recall, the voter database for Romney crashed on election day and paralyzed the get out the vote effort.

Yup. Code name "Orca". It was supposed to GOTV, but it instead suppressed the vote. A total disaster.

“The GOP has resources to dangle in exchange for some message discipline from its presumptive nominee.”

ROTFLOL!

These people STILL have no idea who they are dealing with!

Presidents Dole, McCain and Romney can vouch for these valued resources.

“Trump is a guy who thinks like a quarter back and acts and talks like a middle linebacker. He will taunt you from any where on the field.”

Well let us hope he doesn’t PUNT when he makes all those winning deals he promises. Cuz if he does, the first rath felt will be at his lemmings. Wheel show you ‘anger’ like a a free safety!

The RNC is a conundrum. Trump is giving to them everything on a silver platter that they’ve ever wanted when it comes to the “big tent”. And they hate him.

Oh, yeah. I forgot about The Pledge. Trump is holding up his end of the bargain, but RNC sure isn’t. Trump can walk, free and clear.

I think the RNC needs to think very, very carefully before it attempts to push Trump in their (since 2008 LOSING) direction.

The people are speaking.

And, by the way, Trump is under no real obligation to suck up to the RNC. The other way around is more akin to the reality on the ground.

I am not endorsing Trump by looking at this, by the way. Just looking at the reality.

Trump supports touchback amnesty. He has always supported amnesty until joining the GOP primary. He even opposed Romney’s self deportation plan.

Trump does NOT “need” GOP resources in the General Election.

I’m a GOP District Captain, and can assure you that the only people who’d be hurt by this attempted intimidation would be the down ballot candidates.

Considering the criticality of retaining the Senate, that would be a dumb move.

The rino convention is next week here in Buffalo, we will be there pushing Trump.
Trying to get them on our side is nearly impossible, they are a corrupt band of thieves.
