RNC sees leverage over Trump

Donald Trump has steamrolled toward the Republican nomination by lambasting all things political establishment, and now that establishment thinks it can convince their insult-wielding front-runner he needs them.

Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus has begun stating in private meetings that the party has sway over its at times unwelcome front-runner because it has tools Trump will need to use to win a general election -- voter data and field, digital and media operations that a nominee typically inherits from the party infrastructure.

Dangling access to these resources, Priebus thinks he can help steer Trump toward partywide policy goals and away from the inflammatory rhetoric that Republican officials see as divisive and dangerous, especially outside of the primary, according to two Republican sources who have spoken with the RNC chairman. ...

Naturally a deal will be made. It has to be.
The RNC shouldn’t count on steamrolling Trump though LOL!

“...voter data and field, digital and media operations that a nominee typically inherits from the party infrastructure...”

This all did wonders for McCain and Romney, didn’t it?

Wow, wonder how bad it would’ve been for the two of them without all this RNC “help”??

“— voter data and field, digital and media operations that a nominee typically inherits from the party infrastructure”

What kind of voter data can Reince Priebus give to Trump? How many GOP voters hate Reince Priebus, Karl Rove, and the entire GOPe? I have sent two voter surveys to Priebus and GOP headquarters. I cannot write here what I wrote on the survey. My first suggestion was to fire Reince Priebus.

Trump could invest heavily in Diebold and he would win where it counts...vote counting/changing.

If Trump fires them all, does he still get to use their data? Or do they steal it on their way out the door?

Everything rinsed penis brings to the game can only hurt Trump. This candidacy isn’t here to help the GOPe remain relevant. A child can see that.

Nice to know they have a plan to deny the resources of the party to their own nominee.

And people don’t understand why Trump sometimes uses swear words?

I’d like to curse a blue steak at these corrupt, self righteous, lying, elitist, traitorous scum.

I think about the only thing Trump needs from the RNC is that it put his name on the ballots in all 50 states as the Republican nominee. There may be some value to use of the RNCs infrastructure in the states for get out the vote efforts, but if they try to extort their help, they will be completely shut out of any influence, and they will only force Trump to do it himself, probably better.

If I recall, the voter database for Romney crashed on election day and paralyzed the get out the vote effort.

I wonder if the GOPe, Trump, and Rubio have already cut a deal. Trump gets GOPe money and support in exchange for him choosing Rubio as VP. If Rubio and Trump both have their guns at Cruz tonight, I’ll assume this is the case.

No Priebus, what you'll do is push him away from the GOP...even with the party's nomination. If he wins I hope he takes a wrecking ball to your whole establishment!

They will gladly assist Trump just so long as he abandons everything that makes him a winner.

Meanwhile they will decimate the down ballots by betraying their standard bearer.

Clever.

No matter how the nomination and general election goes, the Republican Party is on its deathbed.

Priebus is already undermining a Trump presidency, the only outcome that will result being a President Trump getting rid of the Republican elites and a third party coalescing away from the Republican establishment, who really should become the country club wing of the Democrat party.

Precisely. Watch that video on YouTube about Trump, his plane and his pilot. Watch the way an organization he built at work acts. Then ask yourself what use the childish and corrupt GOP established infrastructure could do for him.

He will brush then aside and marginalize them as fast as he can.

Just curious what Trump and his campaign have to say about Priebus in private. Probably not a lot of respect there, to put it mildly. At some point, once Trump has the nomination wrapped up, he and Priebus are going to have to have a heart to heart, with Trump saying something to the effect, “I’m your new boss. If you don’t accept that, then you need to step down”. I don’t even know if Trump would let him keep his position even if he promised to sever his old loyalties. A snake doesn’t ever really change who he is. Better to get him out and bring in someone he can trust.
