Kasich Says He's The Only One Who Can Take On Trump

"Of course I'm staying in the race. Why would I drop out when I've got the best chance to be the nominee outside of Trump?" He also warned that without him Trump would be the nominee, "If I get out, which I'm not going to do. Trump is absolutely going to be the nominee. End of story."

A few die-hard Kasich fans were at the event, but most attendees were undecided and came to hear Kasich's talking points.

Trump has about 62% of the delegates, so far.

“As foolish as it sounds, Kasich may be right. The Mississippi Mafia and their GOP-e pals are coming after Trump — and God only knows what mud they will sling.”

Hmm...Lott and his buddies may want to re-think this strategy. If they have success pimping Kasich’s tally upward, whose vote does that eat into? Obviously, Rubio’s. Now, the end result of this may be that Cruz takes second in MS, and the Lott bunch hate Cruz as much as they hate Trump. Kasich is going nowhere nationally, and they are only serving to also hurt Rubio’s chances as well.

“Here’s the latest: Rep. Trent Franks, an Arizona Republican, sent the letter to fellow Republicans Wednesday evening. He’s asking would-be signers to back his push to rally the establishment around either the Florida or Texas senator in an effort to defeat Donald Trump, the current frontrunner for the GOP nomination.

The letter argues that one candidate should continue on in the presidential race while the other is named a vice presidential candidate”

Yes, that is the only way that Trump is going to be beaten. But, it has to be Cruz/Rubio, not Rubio/Cruz. The reason is that if they go Rubio/Cruz, they will lose way too many who cannot stomach Rubio over his gang of eight debacle. If they go Cruz/Rubio, they will keep the true conservatives and also keep the GOPe people who like Rubio and hate Trump.

What path does Rubio have? He is getting destroyed in FL...spent a lot of resources in SC and NV and did little. He can’t win anywhere. If Cruz fails to win a bunch of states in the SEC, then how can he be viable? Kasich still has time to compete in Ohio, Michigan, California, Illinois etc...places that will be more accepting of his brand of conservatism...

Rubio/Cruz or Cruz/Rubio reveals Cruz as a liar about amnesty.

It also loses everyone who won’t vote for ineligible candidates.

I think Rubio has a path if

A) The GOP-e decides to utterly destroy the party, deny Trump the nomination, and elect their poster boy in a brokered convention.
B) Cruz, Kasich and Carson drop out and their supporters all gravitate to Rubio for some reason. I know Cruz’s people are irrational, but I like to think that even if they won’t vote for Trump, they’d rather sit this one out than vote for Rubio. I might be wrong, though.

Personally, I think it’s going to be another blow-out for Trump in the SEC, and we can finally begin to wrap this thing up, whether the GOP-e likes it or not. Once he’s on a roll, I see him easily picking up enough delegates so that the GOP-e’s plan of knocking him out in a brokered convention doesn’t work. Of course, in that case, I wouldn’t put it past them to work behind his back to make sure Hillary wins. That may sound like conspiracy theory nonsense, but clearly the GOP establishment does NOT want Trump as the candidate.

A Kasick is a son of a mailman. If you’re not a son of a mailman, you are not eligible to run for political office.

I agree...after the SEC, Cruz and Rubio are all bit done. Kasich has a shot in Ohio and the bluer states which are winner take all. If the GOPe wanted to stop Trump, they backed the wrong horse in Rubio. He’s not going to make up that Deficit and will be all but done.

John Kasich needs to drink the world’s tallest glass of STFU up.

I had the misfortune of seeing this fool on Meagain’s town hall last night, and I got this advice for him.

John, son of mailman, if you can’t get to your damn point in one hundred and ninety six sentences OR LESS, I’m not going to listen.
