Austin American-Statesman ^ | 2/24/2016 | TEXAS PULSE/STATESMAN POLL

Posted on 02/24/2016 6:07:02 PM PST by NYRepublican72

Despite taking a tumble in national polls and early voting states, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz still has a 12-percentage-point lead over businessman Donald Trump in the Texas Republican presidential primary, according to the Texas Pulse/Statesman poll released Feb. 24, 2016. On the Democratic side, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had a whopping 40-point lead over U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Methodology: This Texas Pulse poll surveyed about 1,000 likely voters — 620 Republicans and 411 Democrats — between Feb. 19 and Feb. 22.

So many Texas polls today that range from a tie to Cruz +15.

No. There are just a lot of polls out from Texas today. It’s up to six released in the past few days, at least five today.

Tie, Cruz +1, Cruz +8, Cruz +8, Curz +12, Cruz +15

Another PUSH POLL for Cruz...didn’t work in South Carolina (remember all those polls showing that Cruz would win, or at least tie). I don’t see it working in Texas. Texans know that a vote for Cruz is a vote for an OPEN CONVENTION, which means a vote for Jeb, or Linda, or whoever the GOPe chooses in the convention.

Cruz, Trump tied in WFAA Texas poll

DALLAS - Six days before Super Tuesday, Ted Cruz and Donald Trump are now tied in Texas, according to a new public opinion poll commissioned by WFAA-TV.

Cruz and Trump both had 32 percent support from likely and actual GOP primary voters, with a 3.9 percent margin of error.

It is the most recent survey of Texas voters and the first one to show Cruz no longer leading in his home state.

People of Texas standing up for their Senator.

Florida wont stand up for Rubio.

It’s time to CRUCIFY the LIAR AMNESTY TWERP GANG OF 8 FOAM PARTY LISPING FAGGOT MARCO RUBIO.

SAYS ONE THING ON SPANISH TV AND ANOTHER ON ENGLISH TV.

WANTS TO FLOOD THE USA WITH HISPANIC PARASITE ILLEGAL ALIENS AND GRANT THEM CITIZENSHIP.

Rubio is a degenerate douchebag who has done nothing in life except con simpletons from Florida into voting him into office.

Hes a conniving backstabber, has no qualifications to be President, no different than the animal in the WH right now.

Piss off Rubio you TWERP.

It will become apparent very quickly that Rubio is another hack lawyer with a big mouth and no accomplishments.

Cruz at least went to Harvard and argued cases in front of the Supreme Court. Carsons a brain surgeon, Trump is Trump, even Kasich and Jeb were effective Governors.

Rubio doesnt deserve to be on the same stage as these guys.

Marco went to community college and started running for office (West Miami City Commissioner) as soon as he graduated from law school at UM.

Hes never worked an honest day in his life.

DEPORT TODAY, DEPORT TOMORROW, DEPORT FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!

Analysis: After Cruz’s third place wins a first place win would place him significantly above Trump’s floor and just underneath the ceiling, at about the chandelier or maybe even with the top of a large window. If he can find a stairway that opens to the helicopter landing on Trump’s roof and Cruz’s ground game evangelicopter is perched waiting to whisk him into the electoral sunset, then Trump’s chances of upending the establishment will have, as was always inevitable once the uneducated working class radical wing of the base’s tantrum subsided, dried up for good.

“Texans know that a vote for Cruz is a vote for an OPEN CONVENTION”

Open Convention could mean Cruz giving his delegates to Trump and becoming VP.

Good Grief! Another one of those PAC funded 'push polls' by a public relations firm. Well, didn't work in South Carolina or Nevada did it? But it does go to show you the ongoing crud of the Cruz campaign.

Sorry, but NO WAY. An open convention means that the GOPe is free to PICK THEIR CANDIDATE.

...and we both know that it won’t be Trump or Cruz.

40%+ (or capturing all delegates of Texas) = grand slam
30-40% = base hit
<30% = strike

Cruz needs a home run. He has a shot. If he finishes first, he is definitely still in the game.

The calls for him to drop out and support Rubio are beyond ridiculous. Cruz and Trump are more ideologically aligned.

And if anyone feels inclined to stop Trump, Cruz is the only chance at this point. Rubio will not even carry his home state.
