Taking aim at businessman Donald Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz said at a campaign rally Wednesday that too much is riding on the 2016 presidential election to get fooled by a showman that is more bluster than substance...
"We can't be fooled by P.T. Barnum," Mr. Cruz said, alluding to the late founder of the Barnum & Bailey Circus. "The time for the clowns and the acrobats and the dancing bears has past."......

Good picture, Charles.
DT will need more armor when the Messiah returns and avenges the death of the innocent.
“He called the people of Iowa as stupid”
Turns out he was right.
P.S. not sure what ‘as stupid’ means, but I got the idea
A second year law student can do that. BFD.
You'd been better off not further showing your ignorance.
BFD is the only thing you got right.
Funny thing . . . while at the Cruz rally this afternoon, I was chatting with several ladies while we were waiting for the guest of honor. We were discussing DT and I made the comment that I can’t believe that so many conservatives are backing P.T. Barnum. hmmmm - makes me wonder if Cruz was listening on our conversation.
Yeah, well, I was so disappointed when I found that someone else had stolen all the ‘Got mit uns’ belt buckles. So sneaky and sly.
Not what he says.
What he has done.
It’s too bad. I would have liked them to work together. I don’t think that’s possible now. Jeff Sessions for VP!
That is, once upon a life I had connection with people like Trump, and did and do what Trump does for a living. My sister was partners with a developer, record distribution company owner and C.E.O., oil magnate, and restauranteur. That man gave me my first job. Washing dishes in one of his restaurants. When I thought to become a chef, he offered to pay my way at J&W College for a degree...if I would keep working for him. (Theft is rampant in the bizz...he trusted me)
I saw what he did and how he succeeded...and sometimes failed.
The bottom line was he created jobs and wealth: his persist lifted millions of boats on his rising tide.
And the things people said about him are of the same character I hear said about Trump.
Covetous, servile pests
slandered that good man
....not knowing how close I was to him.
Thanks for the links. I will read them over.
Oh yes...
My sister was a beautiful woman who traveled the world, accompanying this Trump-like man on business trips. She was told things by the assorted investors at these meetings things that were never meant to be heard by her partner: she was an Intel Officer disguised as a brainless arm-candy bimbo. And that man I speak of would rely upon her opinion of the investors he dealt with: were they trustworthy?
Trust is the lubricant of successful capitalism. And real capitalists have money and reputation that can be lost when sharks arrive in the aquarium. Trump has been bitten by his share of sharks. But he always pushes onward, and upward....like the man I and my sister knew.
Ok, the reorganizations are not these projects. By the way the articles on the reorganizations I read were quite thorough and it is clear that the reinvestment was in the companies interest and Trump divested himself of large % of his shares in the reorganizations, protecting the small shareholders.
These links represent two projects where people invested in real estate during a downturn and they lost money or didn’t make it as quickly as they thought they should have. Donald Trump’s part in these projects was not deemed objectionable at trial in Toronto and the parties reached a settlement in the Baja case. There is no guarantee of profit when you invest, greed and a lack of due diligence often puts investors into investments that are riskier then they realize and that is only there own fault.
The Baja investors and Trump settled, they were according to their attorneys very pleased with the settlement. http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-mo-donald-trump-settles-baja-mexico-condo-resort-lawsuit-20131127-story.html
Toronto Trump, Talon is the majority investor. The complaint was that the units did not sell as fast as expected. It is named for real estate developer Donald Trump, a minority shareholder in the project. There was a court case and Donald Trump ws absolved of any personal responsibility in sales of condo-hotel suites that continue to lose money. Investing in real estate is risky as the judge noted

Most law students are the ones writing the briefs and they could argue as well as Cruz. Memorize a speech and regurgitate it. No questions please.
I just can’t get excited about one who started with his daddy’s fortunate, used intimidation, regularly paid 80% to his contractor and told them to sue for the rest and used the mob. There is nothing in his history that appeals to me or in my mind translates into running a country. I will never vote for him.
Not to mention his nonstop trashing of only the right = list up to over 200 he has trashed since he started. But he can make deals with his friends Schumer and Pelosi. Why would you take him at his word about anything?
Have you seen Trump's beautiful and accomplished children?
Try moving to a part of the bunker where at least some light reaches, because right now you're in the Roeder corner.
How can Ted call Trump a clown when the biggest clown Glenn Beck is now running his campaign off the rails?
I think Glenn Beck and Club For Growth ruined Cruz for good.
