The head of the Interior Ministry said on Wednesday that Berlin had sent a planeload of Afghan refugees back to their native country, emphasizing that they "had no prospects to stay in Germany."

Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere confirmed that the 125 refugees had landed in Kabul and would receive some financial support. [...]

Germany has been urging people in the war-torn central Asian country to remain there in an effort to stem the flow of migrants that has put a heavy burden on Berlin for months. De Maiziere said it was important for Germany to "help people help themselves" in economically, politically and socially devastated countries. He added that such work would be key to solving the refugee crisis. Some 1.1 million people sought refuge in Germany in 2015. ...

Wow, a whole 125 of them?

To be honest, this is 125 more than I thought Germany would ever deport.

Saw my first Syrian refugee today. Was walking with the wife when she pointed to a hostel and said Syrian refugee men are kept there. Then one rounded the corner wearing a light orange jacket and look like he was freezing cold as he walked swiftly with his hands in his pocket.

“... confirmed that the 125 refugees had landed in Kabul and would receive some financial support.”

So basically they got a paid vacation to Germany. Nice trick!

And with ‘some’ financial support. Lol
I’d have dumped planes full of them with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

I saw some more in at Harbor Freight. There was just the one woman at the register and she was slammed. They testily wanted her to drop everything and help them. She explained she could not and they took it badly. Finally, the clerk got somebody from the back and the first thing that person had to do was listen to how annoyed they were with the service.

My impression, very well dressed. Very entitled. Enough English to let us know how upset they were. Although, I understood the body language well enough.

Before our mayor invited a boatload here, there were a few middle eastern students and they were generally polite. These are older and not polite.

Incidentally, our mayor was made a -hero- by some refuge organization. The way I first heard it, it sounded like -hero of the Soviet Union.- But it was some other title involving hero.

Sending a plane load of them back. How long will it take to deport a million of them?
