Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has one option if he wants to win the Republican nomination. Tomorrow night, during a debate with Donald Trump, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), Ohio Governor John Kasich, and Dr. Ben Carson, Cruz must clock Trump as hard as he can with his best rhetorical punch. He can't be lawyerly. He can't be civil. He has to get in the mud with Trump and pulverize him. There are three reasons for that.
Rubio Will Never Drop Out... Rubio's going nowhere...
Cruz Must Win More Than Texas On March 1, Or he's toast. Again, the fact that Rubio won't drop out under any circumstances means that Cruz can't hope to win a bunch of second places in the SEC primary, then go forward and pick up Rubio's supporters. Rubio will still be in after the SEC primary. And as we saw in Iowa, even a Cruz victory turns into a Rubio victory in the media...
So, all of this means that Cruz will actually have to beat Trump outright with Rubio still in the race, not wait for the never-gonna-happen Rubio flameout. He can do it, but only by recognizing that Trump is the biggest set of balls in the race, and the only way to defeat Trump is by kicking him directly in the groin on national television. That means Cruz should unleash everything up to and including the kitchen sink. He's going to have to out-masculine Trump.
He should face down Trump and say to him, "Donald, for months, everybody has been tiptoeing around you out of courtesy. Enough. We all know you're a spoiled brat who's never had anybody say no to him. You're a pathetic, bloated old man who stood on daddy's money stack to make billions, and then can't shut up about how he's a self-made man. You're a ridiculous dolt who lies about his politics, brags about having sex with married women, and shafts little old ladies for cash. And every time you are attacked, your face turns as red as the Kool-Aid man -just like it's doing now. Then you cite polls, as though polls make you not all those things. They don't. You're just as much of a ridiculous clown as you ever were."
If Trump tries to interrupt him, Cruz will have to tell him to shut the hell up, and then not back down.
It will be brutal. But if Cruz wants to win, he's going to have no other choice. Trump won't be defeated so long as both Cruz and Rubio are in the race, and Rubio's going nowhere. Somebody's going to have to knock King Trump off the top of the hill.
It's the elephant in the room of low-hanging fruit.
It's there for Cruz or Rubio to take, but Rubio is more interested in taking out Cruz and Cruz has been too much of a gentleman, so far.
“And Cruz’ support will skyrocket.”

Ok....That’s cute. I’m sure in the fantasy land Cruz supports live in, that’s definitely what’s going to happen.
You know, after you people almost fainted in rapture after the SC debate, thinking that “Oh he’s melting down! Trump is done!!!”.

Whatever facts about Banana Don that Ted exposes are already known by Rotten’s op research team.
Ben is an idiot. This will play into the theme that Cruz is a nasty guy and not win over any of the Trump supporters later on.
Cruz should get nasty about Hillary or Bernie and Obama. That would win over a lot more people. Jeb’s attack on Trump got him nowhere.
People want to see someone attack will full vigor against Obama and his administration, plus the republican establishment. Cruz needs to have some quotable zingers against those people and get the focus off of Trump.

If Cruz tries to “clock” Trump, Cruz will get “schlonged”.
IOW: Cruz can make a bleeping idiot out himself.
Exactly, it’s hard to claim the evangelical high road when you are rolling around in the gutter with everyone else. I think Cruz needs to tout his record of trying to fight for America. Sometimes as the only one, “me against them”. He needs to distance himself from the establishment. And finally, he needs to lock Glenn Beck in the closet until after election day....or he could just keep him there.
Trump would explode. It would be fun to watch.

Did not Trump say he would not attend the debate due to conflicts in the schedule?
Ted, thank you for sharing your thoughts on my personal attributes with me - now I know how you REALLY feel. Unfortunately for you, large numbers of the American people agree with me on what we need to do to make America great again. They want a pitbull, not a yappy chihuahua type, apologies to chihuahuas. How does it make you feel to be beaten by a “ridiculous clown”?
On a serious note, Shapiro is suffering from TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) with this article. Cruz can’t win this by calling Trump names ..... it makes Cruz look small, not Trump. Calling Trump names, like a ‘ridiculous clown’, has not damaged Trump in the past & it won’t do it now.
Then there's that.

Shapiro wasn’t giving advise, he was disclosing his opinion of Trump and Rush embellished it, as IF were also HIS opinion too.
Trump and Rubio's "liar, liar" tag-team worked like a charm at the last debate.
If Cruz did that I would love Trump to say, “Your right, I am old man, but you are a lying sack of shit. Let’s hold the debate for 15 minutes and you and I step outside.”
Possibly , but national polls mean nothing when it is the states which vote and right now it is looking good for Trump and not so much for Ted.
Super Tuesday comes up and the only place Ted can win if we go by polls is TX his home state and even then the delegates are shared.
FL my state and others are in the bag for Trump unless something big happens and I can’t see that happening now.
What gets me is how the establishment is having a mental breakdown. Others have to drop out, Ted and Rubio have to join up, , both of them have to fight dirty against a bully one article said.
Where the hell were the establishment for the past 7 years against the bully called fairy boy obama?
If Cruz takes this advice and let’s even say it works, he will have put Rubio in the lead.
Just like Christie didn’t benefit from hitting Rubio, it wouldn’t help Cruz. Rubio people setting Cruz up for defeat.
If Cruz takes advice from a liberal media outlet he is not fit to be president

So far, no luck. I guess Trump doesn't want to be deposed by Cruz.
