No Ids being checked in Nevada. People voting twice.

The Nevada caucus is currently underway as voters pull for their GOP candidate of choice, but it appears things are looking a little sketchy.

Almost Democrat levels of sketch.

I’m in Colorado ( a caucus state) and I agree it’s a mess, mostly because

a) the system is so complicated it pixxes off everybody.
b) finding volunteers to staff the caucuses is extremely difficult.
c) it only happens once in awhile, so the people in charge are all rookies.

It would be so much better to just do a closed primary.

Actually, you can wear the shirts and politically back your candidate at these. Not like voting.

But they should go to straight voting. Iowa would have gone to Trump if it would have been private, straight voting. He was leading in all the polls before it got to the funny business.

“It’s perfectly legal to campaign at the caucuses. That means you can wear a candidate’s shirt or cap.”

But these are poll workers wearing Trump gear. If you’re saying there are poll workers wearing Rubio and Cruz stuff too, that’s fine. But it seems highly unusual, or I should say, I’ve never seen anything like that here in MN.

I don’t believe anyone is voting twice. They have to sign into their precinct to receive a ballot.

Well, we don’t “need” voter ID because so few people have been convicted of vote fraud....its not a real problem..../sarc

Are you aware that the candidates are actually talking to the Caucus people within the area where voting will take place?

This is one of the most asinine voting processes I’ve ever seen.

And folks, please. If one candidate’s voters are doing it, please don’t tell me it isn’t a free for all with everyone doing it.

I think the comment was meant as droll humor.

In Nevada, just like CA, it's against the law to ask for ID. It's probably the same the the vast majority of states, if not all.

The result of corrupt DOJ, USSC and who knows who else.

That said, they ask for NAME AND ADDRESS and accept what they are given.

If somebody is on the registration list, they are given a ballot. If not, they are sent to the registration table.

Same day registration.

This article is much ado about nothing unusual.

Irony...the DoJ released a statement yesterday...notwithstanding their lawsuits against states that instituted voter ID req’s.

I take it your man is losing.

If you’ll look at all of the tweets everyone is complaining about Trump supporters working the polls. I doubt it’s Trump supporters doing the complaining. So I made a joke that the Trump folks need to go vote again.

I hope they don’t, the conservatives don’t need that kind of BS coming to the front during the general election.

OK thanks. I usually avoid posting these days. Things are so contentious here.

Amen. You’d think the party would have figured this out by now.

As I understand it poll workers can wear anything they want.

During the 2014 election a guy had on a tshirt that said “I’m a producer” and he was made to turn it inside out. That’s in Texas! Personally, I’d love to see who the guy counting my votes is voting for.

"Of course, photos or other evidence won’t matter to the Trumpbots..."

That's in full compliance with Nevada GOP rules and Nevada law.

Knowledge is normally a good idea before speaking.
