Marco Rubio is planning to meet with his former political mentor Jeb Bush to try to bury the hatchet, the Florida Senator says.
Speaking to reporters in Nevada today, Rubio said that he spoke with Bush on Monday and had "a nice conversation," according to the New York Times.
"He's just decompressing from this election," Rubio told reporters. "And trying to get going again in the rest of his life. But we'll meet and talk soon enough."
Rubio did not specify a date for the meeting and told the Times that he had not asked for Bush's endorsement.
"We're going to get together soon," he said.
After beating Bush soundly in South Carolina, Rubio was careful to praise the third member of the Bush family to run for president after he announced he would drop out of the race.
"I have an incredible affection and admiration not just for Governor Bush but for his family and for their service to our country," he said during his speech. "Jeb Bush has many things to be proud of. He is an extraordinary husband. He's an extraordinary father. He was the greatest governor in the history of Florida.

Pretty funny to hear the most recent Rubio commercials. They go out of their way to let us know he is a “conservative”.
Funny thing - Rubio had a commercial in SC that said the Heritage Foundation endorsed him. Totally false. The HF cant endorse any candidate. People call Cruz the liar but it is really Rubio that is the liar.

His leftover very few dollars will be used to destroy Trump!!! Glad they spent most of it!!!! I think donors will be a little gun shy before giving out more money!!! Trump is going to be hard to beat why waste their dollars!!! I am still very concerned about what the BASTARD GOPe has up their sleeve !!! I have faith in Trump he is a VERY SMART guy who knows the game well from the other side, I just hope he can still stay one step ahead of them!!!! I will say one thing his voters are VERY, VERY, loyal we have just wanted a fighter for so long that I don’t think anything could drag us from him!!!!

Since then given what I've learned about his past positions, his flip flops, and his crude contentless approach to campaigning and recent near unhinged behavior, I've recently decided I just can't vote for the guy.
I wonder what Jeb will say when he finds out that it was Marco that turned us on to Prescott’s past dealings with hitler.
I believe the polls are being manipulated to create news that pushes for specific outcomes. They are not a snapshot in time but rather agenda-driven for narratives that promote or destroy certain candidacies.
Is Barbara coming over to FL to rescue Marco? Or is she still upset with SC?
Was it Jim DeMint backing Rubio?
