STUDIO CITY >> Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton made high school student Kelly Mayers day on Monday. Mayer hoped she added something nice to Clintons day, too.

Mayer and her mom, Megan, led a five women welcoming committee that greeted the former secretary of state when she arrived in Studio City for a Monday afternoon fundraiser.

They set up some lounge chairs at the corner of Fryman and Lockridge roads waving American flags and shouted out the slogans Hillary for America and Welcome Madam President to every car that went by.

Valets hustled up and down hilly Lockridge, parking the cars of faithful Democratic donors willing to plunk down $1,000 to be considered a friend of Hillary or $2,700 to be designated a Champion, and get a picture taken with the candidate during a Conversation with Hillary Rodham Clinton. It was one of two such events held in Los Angeles.

It was hosted by Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali and Anita Hirsh. An estimated 300 supporters were expected to greet the candidate. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti was set to attend an evening event in Hancock Park at the home of Ellen Goldsmith- Vein, a movie producer, and her husband, Jon Vein, the chief strategy officer and a co-founder of MarketShare, which describes itself as the world’s leading analytics technology provider for major brand marketers.

Garcetti’s campaign consultant Bill Carrick said the mayor was going to introduce Clinton at the Hancock Park event.

He pointed out Garcetti traveled twice to Nevada in recent weeks to campaign for Clinton, who won the Nevada caucus on Saturday.

Eric Garcetti feels strongly that she is the best candidate for president and she would be the best president for Los Angeles, Carrick said.

The Southland fundraisers are part of a two-day California fundraising trip, according to reports. The 68-year-old Clinton has held 17 fundraisers during her previous visits to the Southland since declaring her candidacy on April 12.

For the Mayers, the arrival was a must-see event.

I think she’s the most qualified of the candidates and I know all about her policies, Kelly Mayer said of Clinton. She understands how to get things done. And I love politics.

Her mom understands and let her have a short day at Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles so they could do some campaigning of their own.

This is like a dream come true for us to have the chance to see her. Megan Mayer said. She could be the next president and this might be the only chance to see her.

Shortly before 4 p.m. the four-vehicle motorcade, led by CHP officers on motorcycles, rounded a bend on Fryman.

Oh, here it comes, Kelly Mayer shouted. Oh, my God, this is so exciting.

Clinton was riding in a black Chevrolet Suburban.

The greeting party shouted their slogans and waved their flags. Kelly Mayer held up her sign for Clinton to see. And in what seemed like an instant the moment was over as the motorcade made its way up the hill.

The moment moved mother and daughter alike.

I loved it. It was quick but she saw us, said Kelly Mayer, who teared up and still clutched a homemade sign. The black SUV didn’t stop, but Megan Mayer understood.

But she saw them, so that’s OK, Megan Mayer said of a bouquet of orange flowers they had brought for Clinton.

Staff writer Dakota Smith and City News Service contributed to this report.

Jeb had a bulging Rolodex of well-heeled donors.

All the money was flushed down the toilet.

Hillary thinks Big Names will buy her the White House and for them access when she wins in November.

As we’ve seen though, that’s the one thing money can’t buy: an election.

So Hillary drove by, without stopping, to see 300 people, and a mother and daughter wet themselves.

But Trumpeters are the real fanatics who, while showing up by the tens of thousands, can't possibly beat Hillary in the polls.

M'kay.

So the rich and famous support Hillary. We knew that. She’s rich and famous and she excites the rich and famous. However Hillary has never done anything in her life that has helped the poor or middle class. And remember, if you don’t vote for Hillary, you’re going to Hell according to her and her supporters. this is the kind of candidate she is, threats, accusations, damnation.

Actually the kid has probably learned that crony capitalism is a great thing, and is striving to be on Hillary’s list of chosen ones for the next 8 years.

she is the leading donee as far as establishment types are concerned.
she is a lying piece of excrement.

So what happens when she wins the election but is indicted by the FBI? Can she still be sworn in? Of course nobody will prosecute her.

She probably binge watches episodes of ‘Madam Secretary’.

Who’s the reality TV show star? Come again?

Hillary will either bribe Obama for a POTUS pardon or save 200 million and pardon herself.
