Trump Tells Ricketts Familty to Stop Spending Against Him .. Or Else
American Spectator ^ | February 22, 2016 | Emily Zanotti

...

[T]he Ricketts family, have come under fire from Donald Trump on Twitter, for their contributions to Our Principles PAC - a Team Romney-led effort designed to handicap Trump in primary states. Marlene Ricketts, wife of Joe Ricketts, founder of TD Ameritrade, has contributed around $3 million, so far, to help air ads attacking Trump in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. And Trump is none too happy about it.

"I hear the Rickets family, who own the Chicago Cubs, are secretly spending $'s against me," Trump tweeted. "They better be careful, they have a lot to hide!"

For starters, the money spending isn't exactly secret - it's available for Trump's viewing pleasure on Open Secrets, and in the Our Principles PAC SEC filings. It's also no secret that the Ricketts are conservative. Prior to financing the campaign to depose the self-proclaimed Republican frontrunner, the Ricketts financed Gov. Scott Walker's short-lived campaign, and have contributed to everyone from Texas Gov. Rick Perry, to Sens. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, to Gov. Chris Christie, Sen. Lindsey Graham, and former Gov. Jeb Bush. They are one of the few large donor families making big spends against Trump this cycle - at least, so far. And while there isn't much data on whether the ads were successful, they appear to have at least gotten under Trump's skin (which is, admittedly, not that hard to do).

But what's really strange here is what Donald Trump is threatening to do should Ricketts resist his social media plea for satisfaction: according to Trump himself, the Ricketts family should prepare to be publicly smeared, all for the petty crime of being the political opposition. Donald Trump isn't owed a coronation, or the unqualified allegiance of the GOP's feudal lords.

If he is the sworn enemy of Willard and his band of Socialist scum, he’s definitely doing something right.

My point is that Trump has not addressed any ad from them. Instead he threatened them. That’s not Freedom.

I would rather have a self made man pay his own way then have a man in office beholden to men like George Soros.

So you would be perfectly happy with Warren Buffett running in the Rat side because he is one of a hand full of Americans that have enough cash to pay for a campaign for President?

All the rest are hos because they solicited donations? Nice...

In this “New Era” aren’t we to report any miss deeds to the appropriate authorities?

If he knows people are crooked and wants to expose them than so be it.
Maybe he is handling this the same as he would Democrat opposition?

I like the idea of the candidates being required to wear NASCAR style jackets festooned with their sponsors' patches. TRUMP!!! could start with ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Boston Globe and our usual pals in the lamestream media who disgrace themselves by falling all over him, obsessing about him 24/7/365 and thereby allowing Mr. Bluster to campaign without the cost of advertising and without obvious tough questions. Then add The Gambino Crime Family (NY construction unions), Rahm Emmanuel, the Clintons (his wedding guests), Planned Barrenhood (which does REALLY good things for women!), etc.

When did CONSERVATIVES lose the right to subject the Manhattan Loudmouth to the principle of "actions have consequences?"

The best proposal I have ever heard for Campaign Finance Reform was:

- Everyone is entitled to give as much as they want to whatever candidate(s) they choose.

- All donations will be a matter of public record and available for review on a public website.

If they go negative against him, which they have, then he has a right to defend himself that includes exposing those trying to bring him down. He is public about what he does while the Uniparty does their dirt behind the scenes. It is one more reason I Love Trump.

The actual term is extortion or federally racketeering and, if it is a crime and there is a victim, it is also actionable in a civil court.

Trump is merely the first Republican who is finally reacting to the fact that the Democrats changed the entire process to Alinsky Rules four decades ago.

Hmmm, isn’t it up to the people to decide who they vote for?

Do you prefer men who are beholden to large interest groups like the CoC etc?

I prefer one who is beholden to no one and some one who clearly states his positions then follows through.

You’re free to do as you wish.

I’m fed up with the wealthy controlling elections for their own interest and not of the interest of the country let alone you or I.

<><><><><

Is that not what Trump has himself admitted doing by spreading his cash around to the many politicians he donated to?

And it has worked for him, as he has become uber wealthy, and yes, you can read that as he has spread his money around to further ‘his own interest’.

Isn’t that really the art of the deal?

I guess you are more optimistic and trusting that I am, somehow convincing yourself that they guy who has always been all about me is now an absolute altruist, doing all of this with no thought of himself, only of us voiceless little people.

I wish them the best of good luck against TRUMP!!! If ad when they succeed, it will be time to thwart their efforts against Cruz. The Ricketts family’s motive against TRUMP!!! may well be rooted in attempts by his pal Rahm Emmanuel to intimidate the Ricketts family for contributions to CONSERVATIVE Republicans. The Donald paid bri...err, made substantial “political contributions” to the Rahmfather.

Since the Trumbies have taken over. Haven't you heard. The online caucus that was used to indentify and pillar the Mouth's opposition into bannings or complete withdrawing from posting all together now shows the mouth with a commanding 75% support. Efforts the North Korean Government would blush at.
