This is the terrifying collection of nearly 500 guns and 200,000 rounds of ammunition which was seized from a parish council chairman who collected firearms 'like stamps'. Police revealed the full extent of their discovery at the home of crane operator James Arnold in Wyverstone, Suffolk. It is the biggest arsenal of illegal weapons ever found in the UK. Three months after the discovery and the 49-year-old's arrest in April 2014, Arnold died of pancreatic cancer, meaning he could never face prosecution. But as firearms dealer Anthony Buckland, 65, was jailed for at Norwich Crown Court for supplying some of the weapons, Suffolk Police opened up its armoury to journalists to highlight the massive scale of the find.

Yeah I still cant get past this line:
Three months after the discovery and the 49-year-old's arrest in April 2014, Arnold died of pancreatic cancer, meaning he could never face prosecution.
Shh, the unwashed masses think it’s ammo. Don’t let them in on it, we will all be safer for it heh.
Pity that the government couldn’t be brought to send them to US to auction.
Can you remotely imagine the number of “illegal” weapons in the collections here in the U.S.? We MUST protect the 2nd Amendment at all costs, even if we have to use some of those weapon collections.
“Arnold died of pancreatic cancer, meaning he could never face prosecution.”
Do they really think their readers are that stupid?
Crusader arsenal has fallen.
> They found ammo?? All I saw were pics of spent brass.
I also saw a few dozen mini-balls, mixed in with the spent brass, that looked like they might have been around from the late 1800s.
Did England ever have Minutemen?
Its funny. I have a modest collection of guns amassed over the years that has grown simply because I can never bare to get rid of one... the quantity of which is NOBODY’S DAGGUM BUSINESS.
I feel I should say it again... my guns are NOBODY’S DAGGUM BUSINESS.
In my little spot in the world, I am just a regular guy and my guns are nothing special. No big deal at all.
In another parts of the world, I would be drawn up on charges and hauled away making the evening news.
I’m terrified of English civilians being disarmed by their government since governments killed over 500 million unarmed civilians last century.
Yeah. At Lexington and Concord.
Of course, that was the beginning of the end of them being Englishmen.
This is what is upsetting government authorities most of all. The guns are not that big of a problem.
...Arnold died of pancreatic cancer, meaning he could never face prosecution...
Was the later part of this sentence really necessary?
In Texas he’d be KICKED OUT OF THE STATE if that’s all he could produce.
In Alabama, they would have just called him Bubba.
IF the Brits were sane, they’d ship ‘em to the US and realize a good profit on ‘em.
We taught. They didn't learn.
And one of them will be along, sooner or later, to tell us how wrong we are, and how dangerous this guy was, and how it's really not as bad as we think it is ...
I’m Albertan and I fully approve of your message.
Unfortunately, many think that they should hide or bury their possessions. I have always said, if you have to hide them, it’s time to use them.
I thought I saw a bunch of mini-balls in that “stack”. Some government “official” is going to “inherit” a fine collection.
