Sparks is a city in Washoe County, Nevada, United States. It was founded in 1904 and incorporated on March 15, 1905 and is located just east of Reno. The 2010 U.S. Census Bureau population count was 90,264. It is the fifth most populous city in Nevada.

Sous vide tastes great but there WILL be plastics in your food. Both my parents have Alzheimer’s and I wouldn’t ever knowingly eat food boiled in plastic. I fear that too much plastic in us hurts us. I don’t know this for a fact but it can’t be good, sorry to be a total Debbie Downer. I’ve heard how perfectly sous vide cooks steaks. There are some silicone bags but they don’t have a perfect seal yet.

That’s the way to do it. Make YUGE meals, that you both like, then freeze in meal sized portions. Like your idea about marking the large freezer bag with contents of the smaller portions.

I was going to ask, chicken, duck or something else.
We think the rolls are a bit expensive for us, so we save by just using it for expensive meat for long term storage.
What is “foul”? Hubby freezes shrimp and other fish in ziplock plastic bags, in a block of water and salt, to simulate ocean water.....2-3 yrs later and it’s like day one fresh.
