GOP frontrunner Donald Trump went after GOP rival Sen. Ted Cruz for missing a Senate vote on a bill that would have audited the Federal Reserve.
"It is so important to audit The Federal Reserve, and yet Ted Cruz missed the vote on the bill that would allow this to be done," Trump posted on Twitter on Monday afternoon.
Cruz missed a vote on legislation in the Senate that reportedly would have audited the Federal Reserve, as the Guardian noted, as did former Rep. Ron Paul to campaign for his son Sen. Rand Paul.
Paul referenced Cruz's missed vote, previously telling Iowans, "That's not the type of leadership we need in the White House."
Ben Jacobs, a reporter for the British newspaper The Guardian, reported Cruz has attempted to gather support from libertarian minded Republicans. "However, by skipping the vote on auditing the Fed, Cruz risks jeopardizing some of the credibility he has built in [the libertarian] faction of the Republican party. Auditing the Federal Reserve has long been an animating cause of Paul and his supporters and it has taken on major symbolic significance," Jacobs wrote.

His supporters have done the rest of the job for him, so let them carry him over the line. There are many of us.
Will they come back and ask for forgiveness, say we didn't mean it to be that bad? Well, consider they will not forgive Cruz for what they perceive he has done, why should we.
There was a thread on earlier today, exposing Trump and his supporters and their views. I will try to find it and let you know.
""""Dear Trump Fan, So You Want Someone To 'Tell It Like It Is'? OK, Here You Go.""""""
Find it, read it,save it. You won't be disappointed, I promise.
That vote was 6 votes short of passing cloture - Cruz missing the vote had no impact. Just another nothing issue for Trump to obsess over.
You as well FRiend :-)
I hope you are right.
When the POTUS would veto the bill and the Senate doesn’t have the votes to override him, Trump’s blathering to bash Cruz (again) is meaningless.
bkmk
You said they charge US citizens rent. Now you switched to the national debt? Pretty slick!
How does the rent the Fed charges YOU end up in the national debt? Run thru the steps.
You’re welcome.
When you hear and see all the negative nasty things that is said and posted about Ted Cruz, it is no wonder that some would believe it, but just listen to him speak on the Constitution, isn't that what American's have been grieving for all these past 8 years?. Ted Cruz knows that Constitution better than any Candidate and that is indiputable.
Trump is afraid to have that one on one debate with Ted Cruz. Now someone will say "Why should he, he's ahead".
To that I would say "Why Not", what's he afraid of except exposing his own ignorance. Let him prove how smart he is with that debate......no he won't do that.
We stand united behind Ted Cruz.......
Don't try to get all pompous with me, it won't work, the more you do the more I dig my heels in, and others like me will do the same. We have had it with the Cruz bashing.
Frankly I am sick and tired of the JEB bashing as well, beat that dead horse over and over and over. I feel I hardly know if there is any decency in humans anymore, but Trump as set the example.
So you take your supreme leader over that finish line all by yourself, surely you can do it. You don't need us.
Do you support the continuing ridicule of Jeb and/or his mother. They are finished what does it profit you to continue on like a school yard bully. Both eyes blackened, down on the ground and you would be the one yelling KICK HIM, KICK HIM, Kick him in the head, stomp him?
You put that silly gif up, you proved my point exactly, but continue on to further prove my point.
You and me both. Auditing the out of control FED is very high on my priority list. I can’t imagine making up a fictional candidate any better than the real Donald Trump.
They hate Cruz because he is unlikable and he lies a lot.
Lame excuse. Then why vote for any bill which is going to lose anyway? To stretch your argument further, why vote for Cruz in primaries, because he is going to lose anyway!
