My wife Mary and I are in Nevada with our Conservative Campaign Committee team campaigning for Ted Cruz. We awoke this morning to snow. Mary asked me to walk several blocks from our hotel to Walgreen's to pick up a few things. With my headset plugged into my smart phone, I listened to Ted Cruz's press conference during my trek.
Wow! Cruz's brilliant bold performance at that press conference showcased why America desperately needs Ted Cruz in the White House. The MSM (Democrat operatives) tried to use Obama's talking points to pressure Cruz and the GOP into allowing Obama to appoint a flaming liberal to the Supreme Court in his remaining months. Cruz did not fall for it. He firmly said no; not happening.
Cruz went on to say: "And I believe we should make 2016 a referendum on the US Supreme Court. If the Democrats want to jam in a liberal judicial activist to undermine the First Amendment, to undermine the Second Amendment, to take away our religious liberty, we should make that an issue for the American people."
"We should not confirm a justice nominee during an election year, particularly with a lawless president who has undermined the Constitution at every stage."

Later, a CCC team member sent me video of Ted Cruz featured on CNN's Republican Presidential Town Hall hosted by leftist operative Anderson Copper.
Once again, Cruz's confident stature and performance blew me away. With a smile, Cruz brilliantly touted Conservatism despite being in the belly of the leftist beast; in the presence of his enemies. Cruz boldly rebuked Planned Parenthood for possible criminal activity winning him audience applause.
In other words, Cruz remained Cruz; no moderating his message to pander to liberals and low-info CNN viewers. http://bit.ly/1RSW0xu Now that's what I'm talkin' about folks.
A stirring in my soul told me, "Oh my gosh, as patriots, we can not allow this man to get away; blow this extremely rare opportunity to elect a true thoroughbred conservative Reaganite - only to allow Cruz to fade away into the sunset.
Ted Cruz is truly the one that we have been waiting and praying for. Obviously empowered by his faith and the knowledge that he has right on his side, Cruz confronts the GOP establishment, the Democratic Party and their MSM henchmen. Cruz boldly demands, let my people go.
In the current political matrix, Ted Cruz is "The One."

Cruz needs to define liberal judicial activist. Which of the following are liberal judicial activists? Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Justice Stephen G. Breyer, Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr., Justice Elena Kagan.
Another “ding” by the FEC? Good grief.
Cruz is a true intellectual and true conservative.
And, unfortunately, more than likely a true Canadian citizen.

Agreed. He needs to fire his campaign manager. The guy does not align with Cruz’s style and image. And he keeps making waaaaayyyy too many unforced errors that really make his boss look bad. And he needs to fire him sooner rather than later...like right now.
I agree. “It’s the economy, stupid.” (Now where did I hear that before)? Regardless of how little I think of Carville, he knew the winning issue and had Clinton ride it into the WH.
I think the economy and any ancillary issues (immigration, H1-B visas, trade deals, etc.) will be the primary reason(s) for people to make their choice this year.
If “economy” means free stuff, then those people will likely choose Bernie or Hillary. If “economy” means ability to find and keep a decent paying job, not having your job outsourced to foreigners, having the ability to retire at an age under 80 or have an economy where your kids will be able to move out on their own, then those people will likely choose someone like Trump.
Let's assume, for the moment, that both Cruz and Rubio are fine American patriots.
We are told Cruz is a competent attorney and conservative, one who can correct the mess our nation is in.
Perhaps a few questions would put that to the test. His responses, of course, may demonstrate he is indeed not in it for the nation but, as you say, for himself.
Candidate Cruz:
1. Do you agree it is clear from their actions that when the founders drafted the citizenship requirement for the various offices of government they selected the highest form of citizenship, NBC, solely for the President/Commander in Chief of our nation's army?
2. Do you agree that a short time later the USSC in Minor noted the highest form of citizenship then recognized, NBC, was the result of being born within the country (or under its flag for officials) to two citizen parents?
3. Do you agree that NBC, as that term was used by the founders and not as its meaning may later have been modified by means other than a constitutional amendment, cannot be applied to one born in a foreign country to a foreign parent?
4. Do you believe a so-called 14thA "anchor baby" born here to two foreign parents does not satisfy the NBC requirements for the office of President/Commander in Chief?
“2016 is a referendum on the ECONOMY.”
It may well be . . .But the economy is failing in large part because we are no longer governing as a republic to preserve liberty. See for examples:
Affordable Care Act 1/6 of GNP under socialist control;
ubama’s so-called “Executive Amnesty;”
IRS used as political hammer like in a 3rd-world nation;
EPA war on coal and reasonable electricity rates;
EPA war on oil;
Total socialist welfare and SSI and unemployment scams;
ETC!
Return to conservative Constitutional governing, and the economy will fix itself. In fact, better than being managed by ANY politician.

If some other Republican gets it, I hope to see Cruz eventually nominated to the Supreme Court.
