What happens to the Bush NH delegates now that he has dropped out?

The reason it is important is the 8-state rule, where a candidate must win a majority of delegates in at least 8 states before his name can be placed in nomination.

If the 3 Bush delegates are re-allocated to the remaining candidates , given to the winner, or even just not counted, Trump might get another state.

If Texas is winner take all . . Cruz could catch up real quick if he wins his own state.

First: How important this state convention was or will be to delegate selection in 2016 remains to be seen. There were, however, changes made to the way that the Republican Party in Texas will allocate delegates to the national convention in 2016. And there is some story in that. Let’s have a look at (a timeline of) the changes. [In all cases, focus on the provisions in Rule 38.]How important this state convention was or will be to delegate selection in 2016 remains to be seen. In nine days, Supertuesday puts 600 plus delegates on the table.

155 of them are in Texas.
