What, do you think the Founders were flawless, like God? Give me a break. The idea of a free market economy was in its infancy and helped along by Adam Smith’s 1776 classic, “The Wealth of Nations.”
The thought of a President Trump must really distress you.
Not with the “stupid” remark. LOL!!
I think the “world” is in a war with America.
It has been said, “We are not at war with Islam!” and again I think Islam is at war with America!!
And when we begin to fight back, we need to look at the unintended consequences of that counteraction.
LOUDER! :) Take care.........pilgrim
Anyone who thinks only rock-ribbed conservatives are big on border security and keeping illegals out is mistaken, big time. I live in a very liberal state. Last Prez election the Democrats won all the statewide races and ballot measures. Except one. They put on the ballot a measure to allow illegals to get DL’s. Then the supporters bombarded the airwaves with ads how this would make our roads safer. There was no organized opposition or ads on the other side. Despite all of this favoring the measure it was defeated, and it wasn’t even close. The idiot GOP talking heads that say we have to open the borders or we’ll lose every election have it exactly backwards. Get someone who will close the borders and bring good paying jobs back, and not only will it ignite the conservatives but it will attract moderates who dare only to let their voices be heard in the voting booth.
Nope. Unlike you and certain others around here, my head doesn’t explode if who I’m for isn’t perfect or disagreeable with me about certain things. I find Trump to be more positive than any of the others than negative. People who live in the world of “all or nothing” live in a clinically dysfunctional mentality.
How about a Nation with a common ancestry, religion, and language?
The USA used to be that way for the most part, before NWO thugs like the Kennedy’s & Rockefeller’s moved into the Senate.
No nation can ever survive the cultural and diversity rot that America has been subjected to since the 1960’s.
Yes a retutn to Constitutional government is at top of list, but it is an umbrella, not a policy decision
This policy IS a return to Constitutional government.
More to come please Nature’s God.
A 10% tax on all Mexican imports to the US would cause Mexican products to be 10% more expensive to the US customers, who would actually pay the 10% difference.
So US consumers would end up paying the tax, not Mexico.
This is how Trump takes out Rubio.
What did the Candidates say about immigration in their announcement speeches?
http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3396178/posts
It is very instructive to go back and look at what candidates Cruz, Rubio & Trump thought was important and mentioned in their announcement speeches. This was the time to present what issues THEY thought important to them and and the American people.
Trump outlined so many issues while Rubio and Cruz just talked about Cuba and themselves.
Here is their (Trump, Cruz, Rubio) total remarks on IMMIGRATION...later we will do trade, terrorism, 2nd amendment, Obamacare and education.
Trump June 16 , 2015
When do we beat Mexico at the border? They’re laughing at us, at our stupidity. And now they are beating us economically. They are not our friend, believe me. But they’re killing us economically. The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems. (APPLAUSE)
Thank you. It’s true, and these are the best and the finest. When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people. But I speak to border guards and they tell us what we’re getting. And it only makes common sense. It only makes common sense. They’re sending us not the right people. It’s coming from more than Mexico. It’s coming from all over South and Latin America, and it’s coming probably — probably — from the Middle East. But we don’t know. Because we have no protection and we have no competence, we don’t know what’s happening. And it’s got to stop and it’s got to stop fast. (APPLAUSE)
I will immediately terminate President Obama’s illegal executive order on immigration, immediately. (APPLAUSE) I would build a great wall, and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me, and I’ll build them very inexpensively, I will build a great, great wall on our southern border. And I will have Mexico pay for that wall. He’s weak on immigration. He’s in favor of Common Core. How the hell can you vote for this guy? You just can’t do it. We have to end — education has to be local.
When do we beat Mexico at the border? They’re laughing at us, at our stupidity. And now they are beating us economically. They are not our friend, believe me. But they’re killing us economically.

Cruz Mar. 23, 2015
Instead of the lawlessness and the president’s unconstitutional executive amnesty, imagine a president that finally, finally, finally secures the borders. (APPLAUSE) And imagine a legal immigration system that welcomes and celebrates those who come to achieve the American dream.
(Cruz’s speech was all about him and your imagination!)
Marco Rubio April 13, 2015 “modernize our immigration laws”
Yep...THAT is it....except for this..
En este pais, ustedes van a poder lograr todas las cosas que nosotros no pudimos. (translated: “In this country, you will achieve all the things we never could.”)

“Make Mexico Pay For The Wall
That’s where Trump starts to lose me. How am I supposed to believe his promise to build a wall if he attaches a pie in the sky proposal to pay for it? Just promise to build it. “
All he has to do is cut off or delay their millions of tax $$$ of foreign aid every year.
To quote G. Gordon, "Once you've got them by the b@lls, their hearts and minds will follow."
what you advocate is reducing america to second or third world levels.
“Itâs the very reason he surged straight to the top from the day he announced. Itâs also one of the many reasons I switched my candidate preference from Cruz to Trump.”
It was an amazing announcement speech by Trump. Everyone should read it again and compare it to the announcement speeches of Cruz and Rubio.

What did the Candidates say about the important issues in their announcement speeches?
http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3396178/posts
I recall Jeb saying something about illegals coming here as an "act of love", or somesuch nonsense.
I think that was right after he had presented Hillary with a medal at a Democrat award ceremony.
10% is my figure as a way of illustrating how easy it is. But your response acknowledges now how easy it is, but you think the Mexicans can skate away easily. You’re wrong about that.
Mexican companies may try to increase the price of their exports to the US to counter the import tax. But they don’t understand what a trade war is really like when capable people take the reins of US trade policy.
Trump has mentioned a 35% tax as a possibility to impose on US companies leaving the US for cheap labor. Such a tax policy can easily extend its scope to cover other areas in a trade war. I don’t think any foreign companies can survive it, so they will fold. It’s all about seriousness and willpower.
You’re thinking that the US has been so lax for so long that they will remain that way under a Trump administration. Trump will not simply lay a tax on imports, he will prosecute a full trade war to make them heel. And they will because they have much more to lose.
Trump can work with Congress to penalize Mexican companies for trying to circumvent the tax using price adjustments by slapping quotas until they beg for relief. He can also expand into other areas such as health, safety, quotas and currency. He will have a lot at his disposal to stick it to the Mexicans should they try to transfer the burden to American consumers including currency devaluation.
So just to make it clear, we’re not talking about a simple import tax, we’re talking about a trade war where we win because we hold all the aces.
Don’t underestimate Trump. Historical videos of him before Congress in the 1980s show his command of taxes, trade, regulations and banking are unequaled. There are simply not many in his class of command in business. If he wants Mexico to eat it, they will.
Bump!!
