Post South Carolina Results - "The Looming Inferno"

Be of good cheer and enjoy the removal of one-half of the globalists 2016 objectives; indeed a difficult Rubicon has been successfully traversed. However, do not be naive in thinking one significant battle means the war has been won.

The bloodiest battle still lays ahead.

Jeb Bush has been forced out of the race. It cannot be overstated how significant this victory is in the grand scheme of things. The foundational block, upon which the entire road-map was built, has been removed. However, the GOPe engineers will now shift attention to a scorched earth campaign to benefit their retention of power.

We would all be wise to remember in 2014 Chris McDaniel actually defeated Thad Cochran in the first GOP Mississippi primary. It was only after their initial defeat the GOPe decided to destroy anything that stood in their way - again, the retention of power was the ultimate motivator.

We can now expect those same DC influences, including the entire camp that supported Jeb Bush, the old guard, to work diligently (albeit under darkened cover) to assist Hillary Clinton, and destroy anything that would interrupt their grip on power.

Yes, the GOPe would rather lose to Hillary and retain their place at the trough than to see entry into their cloistered club by the Vulgarian Donald Trump.

I don’t mean to sound dramatic, but at this point, I am becoming increasingly concerned about Trump’s personal safety. If the elites envisioned their kingdom being taken away, it would not surprise me if they put out a contract on him.

Even dickweed said that Trump would not be elected..that is something Tony Soprano would proclaim..not a sitting US president..dangerous times.

IMHO, there’s a very real possibility of the GOP losing not only the presidency in 2016, but the House and Senate as well.

I think the Senate may already be gone, given the treatment of Chris McDaniel at the hands of the GOP-e in 2014 as well as the unbridled contempt for the conservative wing of the base displayed by McTurtle and his minions since.

Similarly, the House GOP, having turned its collective back on those who delivered it a majority and, instead, giving Obama more than he ever asked for, may be held to account by its constituents.

Not quite yet. Eggs are in the Rubio+Cruz basket. ANYTHING to defeat Trump, and Hillary is not it.

-- Republicans and Democrats all believe in "diversity". They, ignoring completely the results of all social science research on this subject, and contrary to millennia of human experience and wisdom, believe that the more "diverse" our country, its institutions, and any private entities within her become, the more cohesive and productive we will become. --

As always, a well thought out and expressed summary of the current role of government, as perceived and peddled by the state.

I do differ from your conclusion above though. I think they KNOW that diversity undermines cohesiveness, and this is precisely why diversity is pushed. A cohesive people represent a threat to plantation-style government, and so the cohesiveness must be undermined and replaced.

I also don't think the elites care one whit about the total productivity of society or any given nation. Their paradigm is to retain royalty status (under the meme of "democracy"), and as long as they live the life of luxury, the only reason productvity matters is to prevent the diverse public from becoming restive.

Wasn’t it Cruz who screw mcdaniels?

Not according to McDaniels, who is co-chair of Cruz's Mississippi campaign team.

You must be getting your talking points from the Liar's Club.

After 100% of SC is now in, here's my AVG GOP Presidential Primary poll numbers since September 1st. Starting after the NV caucus, I will track the Primary result averages only. They are the real thing...but they are now included in these number:

The Republicans see Trump as a lout. A ham fisted rabble rouser. What Republicans in Congress care about is their own reelection, campaign war chests, their pensions, and their own stock portfolios made fat via insider trading. And yes, members of Congress are the biggest insider traders on the planet.

-- Wasn't it Cruz who screw mcdaniels? --

Cruz was chairman of the NRSC during the time McDaniels and Cochran were competing in their primary. The NRSC defended Cochran, because the NRSC supports incumbency. Cruz claims that this was offensive to him, and is one of the areas where he claims McConnell misled him.

In New Book, Cruz Says McConnell Misled Him on NRSC - RollCall - June 29, 2015
It Is Time for Ted Cruz to Leave the National Republican Senatorial Committee | RedState - May 18, 2014
Cruz pledges $250K to NRSC - POLITICO - 09/18/14
Ted Cruz Is Calling Time-Out on His Role at NRSC -- For Now - March 10, 2014

One has to infer what one does, from the facts and explanations. Cruz likely has plausible deniability, but to me it looks like he is trying to straddle the fence between establishment and insurgent.

Fascinating. Especially after NV and the affect of Jeb dropping out on those averages. For political junkies this is a year to remember. Thanks for this work, Jeff Head.

BUMP for more great work done by FReepers.

“members of Congress are the biggest insider traders on the planet.”

Bears repeating. There is no penalty for insider trading for members of Congress, or so I have read.

I just can't see the supporters of Rubio or Cruz going to the other one. Rubio has been as much a victim of Cruz's "edgy" campaigning as Dr. Carson has. And do you really think the most committed Cruz supporters would go to Rubio after all the stuff they now believe about him?

If saner heads prevail, this is the math: Trump + Rubio = majority.

Here's a thought of a source of votes. A lot of Sanders voters aren't ideologically extreme Socialists. They're mad as *ell, just like we are, and angrier still about hillary's campaign against Sanders. A lot of them will either stay at home or vote for Trump. That would not happen if the 'pub is anyone but Trump.

QUESTION:

Since Trump stands to gain most if not all of the delegates in South Carolina, does this mean he has secured his FIRST of the EIGHT state minimum?

I think it does, but I’m not 100% sure.

It thought the whole significance of Caesar crossing the Rubicon with his army was that it would start a war.

I believe Ted Cruz does not see the opening.

In only 24 hours, Ted Cruz could contact Trump and secure 100% the VP spot. In a heartbeat. And...he could cut a deal to be the FIRST choice for the SCOTUS opening.

If he did and endorsed Trump, the Trump/Cruz ticket would unite and BURY the GOPe.

The ironic thing is, the ‘art of the deal’ guy may not see this either.

The...DEAL needs to be drawn up and agreed to secure Trump as POTUS, Cruz as VPOTUS, and defeat of the Georgetown crowd.

Come on, Cruz can’t win this now. But, in only minutes he can be the VP and then POTUS in 2020/2024, etc.

It is only thru a team effort that you can possibly take down the GOPe.

Remember how we allied with the Soviet Union to defeat Nazi Germany.

CUT THE DEAL!!!!!

NOW!!!

I cant believe such an article was written for a website with the word “conservative” in it. The pure contempt for actual conservative voters (Cruzs supporters) was up there with any Democrats! So, the goal is to make conservative voters angry, not give them any voice, so that they stay home and vote! Wow! That strategy worked out so well for Romney, didnt it? And calling conservatives right-wing, far-right, crazie” (or similar such words) is really endearing to people who dont want anything more than their public officials follow the Constitution! Crazy bastards!

The article talks about the unrealistically conservative voters.

The conservative voters that wait in vain for George Washington to run for office.

Literally George Washington. Or Jesus.

Anyone else, they don't vote.

To a lot of these people, Ronald Reagan wasn't good enough. Ronald Reagan actually drank a beer from time to time.

These people clutched their pearls and **GASPED**............ "He's having one of them alcohol drinks!"

I know people like this in my personal life.

I see these people on Free Republic every day.

No candidate will EVER be good enough for them.

Eventually Cruz will do something that will displease them, and they'll go into a religious ecstasy.

That's why they're being ignored.
