And yet, that moment was caught on TV and tape.
Therefore, the Current Occupant was “there”. A hundred years from now, this will be the only thing recorded in history.
Ditto.
I would spend more time at king “o”s wake. I would need a lot of time waiting in line to piss on his grave.
Wonder how much they will charge??
I agree with you; pay your respects, move on. If he’d spent 15 minutes we’d be bashing him for being an attention hog. Which is true.
0bama is dirt, and after he’s gone, I’ll personally see to it that the grass on his grave doesn’t stand a chance. But this isn’t the reason.
” ... but just how long is he supposed to spend with the casket and portrait?”
If he went to the funeral like a normal human being and President of the country, we wouldn’t be debating this, would we now?
GMTA by 13 seconds....
Yeh why spend time on a guy that you hated everything he stood for?
From the picture I saw, I was wondering if the White House Photographer had his tri-pod sitting on Scalias chest.
Maybe Mrs. Obama felt it best to get the heck out of there before she went from smirk to full-out smile, or even laughter.
Twinkie don’t give a flying rip!
Monica Crowley pointed out that Obama showed purposeful disrespect when he made the announcement without a tie.
Obama at Nelson Mandela’s funeral

The guy has no sense of propriety. Nada!
Obama should have attended the funeral, but how many minutes would you spend in front of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s casket and portrait when she dies? I don’t think we should be hypocritical here, because I would respectfully attend a political opponent’s funeral but not certainly not spend any more time (than Obama) at the casket or portrait.
“Yeh why spend time on a guy that you hated everything he stood for?”
Because it is what we pay him for: to represent ALL the people of the country.
But that is a road too far for Barry...
You are right. Its a road to far for a muzzie loving commie.
“You are right. Its a road to far for a muzzie loving commie.”
His “reign” cannot end soon enough. And we will be cleaning up after him for generations...
Wrong, as usual this is all about Obama. Why did he even bother? Is this some type of race? I would be willing to bet that he did not do this at the other “official” type events of this nature. He no doubt spent more time with KKK Kleagle Bobby Byrd than at the Scalia event. With him it is hate all the time, if one has a differing opinion.
Was Moochie wearing her usual hoochie-coochie outfit? In black, of course.
