The Vatican spokesman, Father Federico Lombardi, has issued a clarification regarding the Pope's remarks to journalists Thursday, when he said, in answer to a question about Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, that a person who only thinks of building walls and not about building bridges is no Christian.

Oh? So what DID the Pope mean?
Why doesn’t he come out and explain.

I think Trump could build a bridge from Alaska to Russia.

Is the pope going to tear down the wall around the Vatican?
To: Resettozero
This attempt by the Pope to walk back his “Trump is not a Christan” comment is pure Bravo Sierra. The Pope and many of the Catholic Church are all for unlimited foreign national immigration to the U.S. — the more the better — whether legal or illegal. This Pope is a socialist and firm defender of Liberation Theology. He has drunk the KGB’s poison of Marxism and Christian principles Kool-Aid cocktail. Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI warned of the Liberation Theology and labeled it heresy. Pope Francis embraces this heresy that is widespread in South American Catholic Church teaching and in Argentina.

“...and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us...”—Acts 17
I know the CCC must agree with this, contra Francis.

Radio news says about this, at first Trump took it personally but is now backing off. As if it’s Trump’s fault for being so sensitive.

Well, the Ancient Greek Oracle of Delphi gave obtuse, aka "guarded" advice, on whatever.
(They really pre-dated the California Psychics hot-line...)
Your taking Jorge Bergoglio, SJ, at his original statement was probably correct, never mind the after-spin, denying the Vatican's attempt to interfere in the US election.

I heard Trump say last night that the way the news was presented to him by the media was not accurate information. Some in the media attempted to inflame Trump by the way the pope's statement was reported on TV and other media. It worked but DT has backed away as well.

This pope is spoon fed his talking points. He is dim and clueless. It’s like Obama is in the Holy See.
Time for a cleaning of the house at the Vatican. Get rid of the leftists/communists/lavender mafia/liberation theology trash and focus on those who believe and understand the true Church of Christ. Sadly, many of those clerics are from Africa and eastern Europe and the elitist and ‘enlightened’ western Europeans will have none of that.

How does this new statement square with that huge piece of theater at the US-Mexico border?
The socialist said what was in his heart. Haven't yet found a translation of his speech yet, can't wait to read that.
