Say you're one of the thousands of New Hampshire voters who want Hillary Clinton to be the next president. You could do the straightforward thing and cast your ballot for Clinton in next week's primary. But if you're a registered independent, you have a better option: Infiltrate enemy lines. Vote in the Republican primary. Hand victory to Donald Trump.
Welcome to Operation Chaos 2.0.
-snip-
For unaffiliated but left-leaning voters, this is a golden opportunity to wreak havoc by helping the Republican nightmare scenario come true.
Participation in the opposing party's primary with the goal of taking it down from the inside has a long track record. In 2012, for instance, Democrats intervened in the Republican Missouri primary for a US Senate seat to boost "legitimate rape" crank Todd Akin, who famously went on to lose to Democrat Claire McCaskill.
With his litany of character flaws, Trump -- like Akin on a larger scale -- would be by far the easiest candidate for Democrats to beat in November. Further, as de facto leader of the Republican Party, his controversial statements would alienate millions of voters, damaging the party's brand nationwide.
Many Democrats might worry that Trump actually could be elected president. But his dismal 33 percent approval/58 percent disapproval rating makes that improbable. Besides, liberals actually have more common ground with Trump than more plausible alternatives like Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz. Trump supports Planned Parenthood, gay marriage, and affirmative action, and he opposed the Iraq War and Citizens United. Contrary to popular belief, Trump simply isn't all that conservative -- he just acts that way.
In New Hampshire and wherever else they can, liberal independents should vote Trump for now to guarantee a Clinton victory in the fall. Do anything else, and you're not doing everything you can to help Democrats win.

A bit dated, isn’t it?
Not in context....

That is it. IGNORE The Democrat have their own hotly contested primary. Just keep kidding yourself that your candidate does suck so bad and it is all just a big vast left wing conspiracy
Not when it is intended to skew voting tomorrow.
I call these articles from the left ‘Plan Briar Patch’.
It might work on those who are both simple minded and reading political pieces. I am sure there are a few thousand in the nation.
Get your advice from the Boston Glob? They are so honest and trustworthy!
I love it when Democrats pick my nominee.

Getting desperate aren’t we.
Way to make it blatantly obvious that you’re pushing a false “all the libs are voting for Trump so you shouldn’t” narrative. If CruzPAC is paying you for this, they should demote you, because you’re bad at it.
This is on multiple sources and separated by time.
Where there is smoke... there is fire.
“independent liberal” is an oxymoron.
Why is Trump a nightmare? For the life of me, I do not get it. He has utterly changed the dynamic of this election and forced the conversation to be about the real and terrible threats to our country, and not trivial made up crises by the conventional politicians. At best, he means what he says and will do all that he can to effect those promises, at worst, he is just another do-nothing liar — who will at least have rid us of a bunch of undeserving entrenched corrupt do-nothing liars in Washington, and gotten people paying attention to, and talking about, the dangers and perils facing this nation. I cannot understand this hostility toward Donald Trump. His flaws are no worse than those polished and perfumed political hacks whose many vices are just hidden from the public — most of the time. He is a plain-spoken man, disinclined toward, perhaps incapable of, the forked tongue double-speak of the chattering classes who have done nothing in their lives but chatter and do a lot of damage to our once fair land with their poisonous and idiotic ideas.
I would love to see the look on her face when he wins the entire thing.
Stop spamming this stuff into Front Page News.
Trump is a nightmare for the innumerable Uniparty "political consultants" who cash in every 4 years on the presidential election.
If Trump wins with his currnt strategy, they'll all be out of jobs forever.
“Besides, liberals actually have more common ground with Trump than more plausible alternatives like Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz. Yep, they can't lose. Whether its Hillary, Bernie, or Trump, they will have another big government progressive in the White House.
Yes, aren't open primaries great.
And we'll probably see some of this is SC too.
