An NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll released Friday finds Donald Trump leading the GOP presidential field by only 5 points in South Carolina, down from 16 points a month ago.
The RealClearPolitics average of polls still finds Trump ahead of the pack by double digits going into Saturday's South Carolina primary, but Friday's survey reports Trump has 28 percent support among likely Republican voters, down from 36 percent in January. Nearest rival Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) gets 23 percent, up from 20 last month.
Trump and Cruz are followed by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) with 15 percent, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 13 percent and Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Ben Carson tied at 9 percent.
WSJ already got busted pushing fake polls.
They lie... imagine that?
Trump only leading by 5 points? A Cruz win is totally doable!
Ted Cruz 2016!
Meh, I’m talking right past you. Continue to dig your heels in with Cruz and Jeff Roe.
Good luck on Saturday.
“So thatâs two polls which show that Cruz is gaining support in SC.”
I’m not sure it is a case of Cruz gaining as it is of Trump bleeding votes. Rubio also seems to be rising.
I just am flabbergasted that Trump, the other day, stood there and insulted all the voters of SC by telling them their Senator(Graham) was the “dumbest person”. And Trump questions Cruz’ judgement? And then he accuses GWB, in a nationally televised debate, of outright lying about Saddam and WMD to justify starting a war? What a bombastic jerk! And people want him as president?
That link should be posted with every Fox poll and every WSJ pro-amnesty article.

I think that’s a likely tightening. Trump still ahead. Consolidation to Cruz in 2nd.
We’ll see.
After Trump’s touchback amnesty the dems will have a lock on all 3 branches of govt. from now on.
I heard Ted Cruz on an interview just 10 months ago saying that the illegals will be decided on after we secure the border. IOW, by his plan AFTER he started his campaign, they were staying.
Your graphic puts it all into perspective, thanks!
Headlines in the sidebar vary from “Trump extends lead” To “Cruz cuts into Trump’s lead”, very confusing!

“I heard Ted Cruz on an interview just 10 months ago saying that the illegals will be decided on after we secure the border.”
10 months ago, Trump was saying some different things from what he’s now saying, but that doesn’t seem to concern Trumpeters at all.
This thing is totally doable!
Trump still supports touchback amnesty which will bring in 60 million or more legally.
“The last NBC/WSJ poll was, to put it mildly,
and outlier. This once, unsurprisingly, is
one, too. Saturdayâs voting should put paid
to this nonsense.”
In other words, all polls that are negative toward your guy are outliers but all those that are positive to the Donald, they are good as gold?
You really don’t know who or how the process will be for returnees. But we do know that Cruz favored just letting them stay until he got hammered on it a few months ago.
So, what does that tell you about where his heart is?
It’s with his immigrant dad who came to this country with a 100 bucks in his underwear and washed dishes for 50 cents an hour.
It’s called spinning and every candidate does it. Donald, bless holy name, did it after Iowa!
Now we know why Trump’s been particularly nasty last few days
There was speculation his internal polls were scaring the crap out of him
Seems to have been the case
Trump meltdown coming in 3... 2... 1
