An NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll released Friday finds Donald Trump leading the GOP presidential field by only 5 points in South Carolina, down from 16 points a month ago.
The RealClearPolitics average of polls still finds Trump ahead of the pack by double digits going into Saturday's South Carolina primary, but Friday's survey reports Trump has 28 percent support among likely Republican voters, down from 36 percent in January. Nearest rival Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) gets 23 percent, up from 20 last month.
Trump and Cruz are followed by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) with 15 percent, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 13 percent and Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Ben Carson tied at 9 percent.
Yes, Trump.
Everything he wants is already a matter of law.
It’s a good thing that polls don’t count, only votes. And don’t be too “flabbergasted” that Trump “insulted the people of South Carolina” he insults just about everybody right before and right after he calls them liars or threatens to sue them.
And while Lindsey Graham isn’t dumb, there are a lot of us in SC who worked hard to have him lose to a primary opponent two years ago. He used to be a solid conservative when he was in the H of R but since winning the Senate, he’s been an increasing disappointment to many. Hopefully, Tim Scott will remain his own man so we’ll have one senator who still listens to his constituents.
A bit surprised by Trump’s attacks on President Bush since Jeb is no real threat to him and they both dislike Cruz. Perhaps it may be more about Trump’s true position on the political spectrum.
You are right, but your questions are as likely to draw attacks and insults as they are thoughtful responses these days.. Thanks for reminding us all to exercise judgement. Good advice.

I have no problem with you supporting your candidate, but your pathetic attacks on those who support candidates you oppose plays into the establishment’s plan to divide us against each other and cause a fracture that will deliver the weakest candidate to the alter of the DC Uni-Party.

Last Maris poll in NH had Trump win by 13 points at 30, Trump got 35. Marist poll completely missed Kasich by 33%.
Other than that.......

Keep knocking the poll if you want, but I think something’s underfoot. It appears to me that some of the other polls post-debate have had the gap slightly narrowing as well, and I’m sure Cruz will have another great ground game.
The Cruz Machine is about to pull another surprise.
A close second for Cruz would at least put a damper on Trump’s supposed invincibility.

It should be obvious what Trump is doing, he’s using the MO the liberals and NOW, it seems, the GOPe uses.
Say anything to get the opposition to swing to your side THEN restate your real policies after they vote.
(example) He has already revealed the strategy he will be using when talking about the Iran deal, after he has finished negotiating with the Persians, he tells them...”Oh sorry, we can’t give you the money, we are broke”
