Donald Trump's Lead Slashed in South Carolina: Poll (NBC/WSJ Trump 28 Cruz 23 Rubio 15)
NBC News ^

Donald Trump is now leading Saturday's South Carolina Republican primary by 5 points — down from his 16-point lead in the state a month ago, according to results from a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll.

Trump gets support from 28 percent of likely Republican primary voters in the state, while Ted Cruz gets 23 percent. They're followed by Marco Rubio at 15 percent, Jeb Bush at 13 percent, and John Kasich and Ben Carson at 9 percent each.

Trump said that "hundreds" of people he died at the World Trade Center were his friends. That would be around 7 percent of the total. LIE. (Trump can't even name one; and there's no record of Trump attending a single funeral or memorial.) Trump said he opposed the invasion of Iraq. LIE. (Trump advocated for the invasion, in his own book and in radio interviews.) Almost every statement of fact that comes out of Trump's mouth is a lie, but the media takes it in stride, because he's treated as an entertainer. And you are advocating for the Statist-Progressive Trump to take power and continue the Obama tradition. You do so, because your powers of reasoning are so feeble that they are easily overpowered by the rush of excitement you experience when Trump insults someone who has hurt your feelings.

No worries...its confusing enough when Trump supporters are posting poll results favorable to Cruz and Cruz supporters are objecting.

If you remember last year there was a big surge of votes coming from the also range to Newt. That may happen again to either Trump, Cruz or Rubio.

What I would do is watch how the candidates behave today and tomorrow. They all have internal polls that are better than these. If Trump starts massively attacking Cruz this poll is probably accurate. Same with Cruz attacking Rubio (means Rubio is closer)

Just as an FYI this was close to the final spread in Iowa and we fondly remember how that turned out.

These polls are all over the place today. I only hope that scRubio is lower than some of them say. We don’t need an amnesty pimp worming his slimes way into a higher position.

If Trump wins SC it will be because of crossover Democrat voters.
You know, the Democrat 9/11 truthers, birthers, Code Pinkers, Pro Abortionists, Obamacare loving conservative hating liberals Trump needs to win.
We got another Romney arriving only Trump will make his 2012 loss look like a landslide win.

Based on the trajectory in Cruz’s numbers from this poll, if Ted does not win SC by at least 10 points it will be a total failure on Ted’s part. It will be over for him.

Thanks for your understanding. I hate to wish my life away but I will be so glad when tomorrow gets here and we can put all this speculation away.....at least until the next state. LOL!

Give it up, mind numbed Trump trolls are mesmerized by his BS.
Try telling Ludwig Von Wienershnitzel in 1930s Berlin that Hitler is full of krap.

Cruz IS, in fact, mounting up attacks on Rubio. He's smart enough to know those Jeb non-votes are, at least in good part, going to go Rubio's way.

Also, interesting to note that in 2012, it was the PPP poll that was most closest to the big Gingrich win there in SC: Rasmussen being the most significantly off Take a look.

One pollster yesterday estimated that as many as 25 percent of the votes tomorrow will be from Democrats, which is scary. I guess there’s a reason why Trump has been courting the black vote in recent days.

I can only hope that Bernie-mania will tamp down the Dem cross-overs in upcoming states.

Too bad the Democrat crossovers keep Lindsey Graham in office.
The SCGOP keeps asking for closed primaries but the RNC needs them to help the RINOs.

But, you don’t think that Cruz having Glenn Beck running around talking about how Cruz has been sent by God to guide us through the Rapture, and implying that the death of Scalia was part of God’s plan to get us to vote for Cruz, doesn’t hurt him? That’s the kind of talk you hear coming out of compound that has a stockpile of Kool-Aid.

Second outlier in a few days from the same polling org? Was this the same folks who conducted the poll? Not who sponsored it?

If so, either they are seeing something no one else is, or they have something very wrong in their methodology. Tomorrow night we find out.

It seems even more odd that all the other polls have the trend reversed. Why would they risk their reputations?

One normally calls the poll that is so different an outlier, because it usually is.

You discount Rupert Murdochs propensity to skew polls he owns in his quest to kill Trump

They have done this throughout this primary season
