Donald Trump's Lead Slashed in South Carolina: Poll (NBC/WSJ Trump 28 Cruz 23 Rubio 15)
NBC News ^

Posted on 02/19/2016 3:11:59 AM PST by springwater13

Donald Trump is now leading Saturday's South Carolina Republican primary by 5 points — down from his 16-point lead in the state a month ago, according to results from a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll.

Trump gets support from 28 percent of likely Republican primary voters in the state, while Ted Cruz gets 23 percent. They're followed by Marco Rubio at 15 percent, Jeb Bush at 13 percent, and John Kasich and Ben Carson at 9 percent each.

Do you have a problem with this article being posted?

I don't have a problem with it, but apparently some people do, accusing the OP of "having hurt feelings" as they default to the usual snarks about Trump.

We'll see whose feelings are "hurt" tomorrow night.

Except results and data are locked, meaning you and I can’t see it. 43 other polls have been conducted in the state of SC for this election, all with double digit Trump leads. NBC either ran the most forward seeing poll ever, or 43 other pollsters are the ones that are correct.

And you Trump trolls believe the lies of a flim flam man even though he has no evidence to back them but plenty to confound them

Rupert is playing games.

Without his ex-wife Wendi Deng around to rub his rhubarb, lame games is all Rupert has left.

That doddering old goat is 84 years old, he's going to be taking a dirt nap sooner rather than later and trying to screw up the inevitable election of President Donald J. Trump is all he's hanging on for.

It seems odd that two big media icons like NBC and the WSJ would risk losing their credibility with poor polling the day before a primary.

Because they have plenty of primaries left where they can get it right and redirect peoples’ memory away from the ones that they rigged to affect an outcome.

I like Trump , but as far as his “ make America great again “ slogan , well , pardon me for saying so but the place is beyond repair .

I’m expecting Trump will win SC, so you should be happy, and my feelings will be a little hurt.

But one thing the polls are converging on is a decline of Trump’s number from the mid-thirties to the high twenties. So it will be fairly close; not the blow-out Trump wanted. Cruz & Rubio will live on to fight another day - and there will be more pressure on Bush and the other marginal candidates to get out.

Not likely.
First they would have to reestablish their credibility and in today’s political climate, that will be impossible.
IF they are wrong, of course.

WSJ/NBC polling may be accurate with regard to how they sampled. Their sampling however may not be representative of who turns out tomorrow.

I recall the same pollster had Rubio coming in 2nd in New Hampshire and had a headline of "Trump's Lead Narrows as Rubio and Cruz Close Gap in New Hampshire"

We know how that turned out with Rubio coming in 5th with 10.6 % instead of the 19% this pollster had him at. Yeah.

“LETS Make America Great Again!” was a 1980 campaign slogan.
Coming from Ronald Reagan, it really meant something.
“Make America Great Again” is a cheap Trump knock-off and coming from that Liberal Democrat fraud, blasphemes the Gipper.

Sorry, I thought it was more posting of that fabricated NBC/WSJ poll that had Cruz ahead of Trump. Should have read more carefully. I need more coffee.
