ABOARD THE PAPAL AIRLINER -- Inserting himself into the Republican presidential race, Pope Francis on Wednesday suggested that Donald J. Trump "is not Christian" because of the harshness of his campaign promises to deport more immigrants and force Mexico to pay for a wall along the border.
"A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian," Francis said when a reporter asked him about Mr. Trump on the papal airliner as he returned to Rome after his six-day visit to Mexico.

Of course they did do some good things, e.g., the Crusades.
.....................................................
The Templars were burned at the stake thanks to the pope. The Templars fought in the Crusades. Some thank you from the pope!
Pope Francis as soon as was elected Pope called to his side the leaders of the Marxist liberation theology a subversive movement that was proscribed by His Holiness Pope John Paul II and Benedict XVI. Pope Francis is against the teaching of the Magisterium of the Church on the evils of atheistic communism, he is a Marxist on the style of Argentinian Peron who feel at home with communist tyrants as the Cuban Castro brothers, the Bolivian Evo Morales and the Venezuelan Maduro’s gang.
I understand they eased up and wished Christian blessings upon those born into non-Roman-Catholic Christian communions. Mighty “white” of them.
That leaves folks like me, who believed on Christ in later life while not attending any church, then chose an evangelical congregation, in an undefined set; maybe they think I am going to limbo or something weird like that. Not that I will ultimately care, but I am sad now that relationships are still testy.
The evangelical model, however, provides a solid basis for that segment of the church to identify Roman Catholic Christians. Did they trust upon Jesus Christ for their eternal life and is fruit of this appearing. Not even what sins do they commit now, but did they accept Christ. And it is not fair to impute controversial practices of the Roman Catholic hierarchy to the rank and file worshiper, to whom all that activity may be quite invisible.
Yep, another vote getter for Trump!
The pope has no right to tell Trump anything. He is neither American nor does he hold any office in America. And please remember the separation of church and state so many people have used to wipe out Christianity and its teachings from our country.
I had a great-grandfather who married a Lutheran woman, and the Church would have treated her better if she had been an ACTUAL demonic locust.
I am an usher in a large Catholic Church, and the five most unhinged Catholics in my congregation are a really scary bunch! Please don’t judge us all by the likes of them.
Well according to some Catholics, Protestants are demonic locust from hell:
The Catholic Church actually used to teach that. You still find some older and/or slightly unhinged Catholics who still believe it.
To our Christian brothers and sisters, we apologize.

I have allowed how even leftists may seize upon some important and currently unaddressed point of human need and dignity, like blind squirrels may still find acorns. But this is scarcely the same as farming out your acorn searches, or acorn stewardship, to blind squirrels.
So I have to ask, when will the walls around the Vatican be coming down? I’m assuming that unfettered access to the Vatican will now be provided to the public? Sounds like it wouldn’t be Christian to keep us out.
The U.S. cardinals and U.S. bishops are every bit as left wing as this insane, communist pope.
Income redistribution, gun-grabbing, open borders, etc.
That’s why I became a lapsed Catholic in the 1980’s.
Let me know when Jesus returns to Earth; I will follow Him.
Glib overgeneralizations that fail in many cases to be true miss the point and sometimes even make the accuser look a lot like what he is railing at.
The hierarchy is going to be the hierarchy and it will sometimes do weird things indeed. Respect should be extended to rank and file worshipers, who in spite of the harangues they may get from the hierarchy, may not really buy it in the end, and often who are earnestly searching for some real sign of God themselves. Or like many of the people that end up being deemed saints, they find Christ on their own and manifest unmistakable signs of it.
I’m Catholic but this Pope is really off the rez. He’s South American so he’s Socialist/Communist. That’s what all those countries are and that is the way he was raised and selecting him was a mistake. He’s old and soon enough he will die and we will get a new Pope.
“The pope has no right to tell Trump anything.”
Good luck on Sat!
Not every single South American buys that philosophy...
I guess the next pope will be an openly homosexual muslim...
Let’s say, Trump has as much right to tell the pope off as vice versa... they are both dealing in “world”...
I love your remarks, synopi of what is happening. I have to re read them a few times.

Trump is smart to defend against the Pope’s accusations. Millions of people, including Catholics, can’t stand this Pope who is a dyed in the wool Communist.
Of course not but most do.
Fact: Most of the countries in SA and CA are Socialist or Communist governments. If you grow up there you are likely to by into the Kool aid. And the Pope is a Jesuit.
There are always some people who don’t buy into the hive.
Why do you think that most of the Hispanic illegals that come here are happy with the Democrat/communist party? Its because that’s what they are used to from their country of origin. The government tells you what to do and you STFU and do it.
